Culprits you felt bad for the most/hated the most.
See the topic title. Mine are:
FELT BAD FOR:
Ran's teacher from volume 15
The culprit from Hattori's 3rd appearence in volumes 15-16
The killer in the AO Dracula Villa episode.
HATED:
The bandaged man (His motive did not make up for attacking Ran.)
The wrestler from volume 38.
How about you guys?

Well almost all of them are made out to have some sort of ulterior motive that justifies it as a crime of passion.
So I'd say all the people who don't.

i think those culprits who tried to hurt ran and conan.

and the culprit who left matsda no choice but to sacrifice his life to know the next location of the bomb.

Re: Culprits you felt bad for the most/hated the most.
Feel sorry for:
Probably the "Bloody Venus" case, it's all because they couldn't tell each other their feeings, but in reality they love each other
And of course Akemi in the robbery case, though technically she isn't the "main" culprit, she's the one who pulled off that brilliant bank heist and killed the other two. All to save Shiho (though she knows she's most likely going to die).
I also love the "glove of sadness" case with the house keeper, thought she's kinda scary with the ways she kills people ^^;
The "Night Baron" case was good. Her motive was "done" before but I like how Gosho told this story end ^^. It made me feel for her.
Lastly "The vanishing blunt weapon" and definately "The mystery of August 3rd" (I love this case). They both lost their child and wanted to do something about it in their pain ;(
Hated:
"The bandage man" comes to mind imediately. Stupid dramatic brat.
The bomber that killed Mitsuda is just a *****. Gawd I hate that guy!!!!!
"Triplet" case with Sonoko's sister's fiance. Though I did feel for him, I hated how he tried to frame his innocent sibling to get more money.
Bah actually I hate all the family murderers xD, especially that one with the sister who killed her sister because she thinks her sister was too selfish and always stealing her things. =.=
The sushi murder one was also annoying. "Because he himilliated me!" /slaps stupid culprit

Here's more of mine:
Felt sorry for: I agree about the Night Baron case, I felt for Akiko.
The Suspect Eisuke case- the victim was so evil there.
The mermaid case-I really felt bad for Kimie when I found the islanders were going with the deception, maybe if they hadn't, none of the events in the story wouldn't have happened.

Re: Culprits you felt bad for the most/hated the most.
About the sister case from volume 20-initially I hated her, but you had to feel bad when she realized her motive was wrong, that her sister did care for her.
You know, when I read that case in the magna, I always misunderstood one line of dialogue. When Conan during the deduction talks about how Mina replaced the cleaners, I used to think that meant she knew Masayo was going to kill her and wanted to save her from dieing herself. (Similar to the case in volume 8 when the bride knew her drink was poisoned but drank it willingly, because she felt bad for the culprit.)
But when I saw that case in the anime, it cleared up my misunderstanding and said that Mina wasn't aware of her sister's intentions.

I think he/she did mean victim. Because wasn't the victim a kidnapper who killed the culprit's kid?bluekaitou1412 wrote:The VICTIM was so evil?Brekclub85 wrote: The Suspect Eisuke case- the victim was so evil there.

I feel bad for all the "whoopsie" culprits. You know, the ones who commit a crime because they didn't know that they didn't know everything (i.e. they thought they knew everything) like the Mermaid case. Those are so sad.
I hate all the crimes out of pride. I'm not sure, but it seems that Japanese take pride very seriously. I also hate culprits with petty reasons (the Youko-fan who killed her sister comes to mind). I hate any culprit that harms any of the recurring characters (Ran, Sonoko, Conan, Ayumi, etc) that is not the Black Organization.

Re: Culprits you felt bad for the most/hated the most.
I was quite heartbroken by the Osaka K3 case.
the culprit I hated the most is, hands down, the Shiragami case. I felt bad for him a little, but mostly I just want to whack him upside down..!

More ones I felt bad for:
1. Dr. Araide's stepmother from volume 24.
2. The girl from the Valentine's day case in Volume 33.
3. The college student from the Torn Friendship case in volume 39-Her so called friends had just been using her.

I always felt really bad for that lady in the Stalker's Murder Case. If she hadn't killed her stalker, she herself would very likely have been killed by him that day. Especially if you listen to the dubbed version... where Conan tells her it doesn't matter, because she killed, and she'll have the rest of her life to think about it in jail or something like that.
