not really gosho could have just said that the BO came up with APTX i mean thats how it was like for the first 120+ episodes it didnt really sound suspicious odd in any way?and the vermouth - ran connection all im saying is gosho obviously will use it on later chapters vermouths guilt will be very important at the end of the DC series it may not be very important but it is still important.

First things comes first, please don´t use such large quotes; it´s hard to guess to who and to what you want to answer.

Second, the first 120 episodes didn´t had that much of a plot developpement, it just shows how he lives as a kid, get friends like the DBs and Heiji and almost no BO guys. Episode 129 with Ai as a member and traitor to the BO was the first "real" plot twist regarding the BO-red-string.

Third, i believe that Ran and her/his love is ONE of his motivations, but his great motivation is his desire for justice and the truth. If Ran would be his great, first and only motivation, he wouldn´t have left her alone in the restaurant to go solving a case and he wouldn´t lie to her countless times by now.

i believe ran is shinichis number one motivation.shinichi left ran because he thought he had still a lot of time left he did not expect his body would suddenly get the feeling of changing back if shinichi.if shinichi knew he had like what 30min left him sure he would have told ran.every time conan has the chance to grow big temporarily what does he always say have in mind? "this time i will tell her...how i feel" he always tries to confess with ran each and every time.lie? what do you mean exactly when he says im on a busy case right now over the phone using a bowtie voice changer?
of course he has to lie he cant let ran be involved with the BO/know the truth as said countless of times. hes stuck as a kid what else should he say....tell the truth and say oh im in conans room right now actually i am conan can you please keep this a secret and dont hit me in the head?

well, it wouldn't seem odd, but it would seem unrealistic. Because of episodes like the Gaming convention, which showed that there are BO members who specialize in different things. Some are snipers, others create software, etc. It would also include the BO having science labs with scientists.... Eventually Shinichi would have to head to the BO labs....he would have to find someone there eventually because the whole BO didn't make the drug. And he'd have to find someone to create the antidote for him....who could do that? The BO wouldn't. And every scientist couldn't either because it has been shown that it was a difficult drug to make....so who would give Shinichi the antidote so that he COULD bring down the BO? Goshyo just made it more interesting by making her escape the BO and having a interesting past. But Ai is needed. He needed someone to make an antidote so that he could grow big again and bring down the bO. The BO wouldn't give him the antidote out of nowhere would they? And he can't wait until he takes down the BO to get it because he's just a little kid who can't do much with his figure..... Ai is helping him make an antidote to return back to his body so he can take down the BO.....even if that is it, that is more important than Ran's role. Ai is the most important heroine in the story. With the addition of Ai, she was able to spot out suspicious characters that proved to be linked to the problem, which is the main plot: the BO.

Ran is one of his MAIN motivations, but not his ONLY, as he wanted to get back to being Shinichi before she even confessed.....Even if Shinichi does tell Ran everything, what will Ran do? Help him? She will still not be an important character to the main storyline. She will be important only because she's helping shinichi.....He's trying not to tell her so she won't be in danger, but the same could be said about Ai and the DBs who are also in the same danger and can't know her true existence. It doesn't make any of them any more important to the storyline. The problem is Ran is supposed to be the main heroine, but she isn't important enough to be a "main girl character" so it is contradictory.....
