haha I love it- Ai is finally starting to take some backbone and become the savior herself.

I like how she is picking up on Conan's  habits.

But on the for real side- I think Conan may TRY to go save them since receiving Ai's text but will be promptly stopped by Ran.
I think for once without Conan, Okiya, and Heiji, the detective boys will solve a case on their own which to me will be quite monumental (haha) because it will show that they are starting to become independent on their own.

hmmm,maybe she wanted to investigate by herself to know how Conan discovered the truth...
but I agree Ai was a bit OOC,I guess it's a part of her character development...

But Genta said something interesting.  They would get scolded if it turned out they were wrong.  I actually didn't find anything too with Ai wanting to investigate before calling the police.  Conan maybe good, but come on, even he can make a mistake.

btw... on early series.. there is time whre the suspect try to use a cellphone as his alliby! ( because not everyone have cellphone...) but now.. gosho using a video call.. ha ha ha ha

perhaps this is a bit after the fact, but wouldn't the DBs notice his expression 'cause they're closer in height to him? I mean, you don't usually see an adult crawling around on Conan's level...

prehaps his cover will be blown by them too?

And to get on topic, I could see parents saying stuff like that if they were worried that some strange kids would call the police on them.  At least, I can see the "mother's" comment about giving birth to him.  I'm pretty sure if I tried something like that as a kid my mom would have said something like, "Pretty sure I gave birth to you".  And then I would have heard it later. 
But yeah, the "dad's" comment was awkward.

I honestly couldn't see my mother or father talking like that.  It's weird sounding.  The whole "my child" this and "my child" that, comes across as strange.  Why not call him by name like a normal parent?  Why talk about how you gave birth to him?  Junk like that.  The entire exchange just came across as awkward and strange to me.

I really think that it is solved like stated before.
