ok this topic seems to  be calm now,it was just a misunderstanding about a joke but it doesn't matter

personally i like both conan and ai,i don't think that haibara is better than conan but they both have defaults ,and it's interesting to point these defaults and explain our point of view!

it's just  that conan would put himself into more dangerous situation if haibara said too much things about BO(and at the same time ,haibara would worry a lot if conan said to her all the thigs he knows about FBI/BO,bourbon...) !

which make this couple even more interesting,they understand each other so well that they know when they have to keep a secret ,to protect each other!

Conan can decipher what the BO is capable of, and he probably knows some things that Haibara is hiding. He knows how to handle dangerous situations, but he also underestimates the situations too. He really doesn't know a lot about the BO, and certainly not as much as Haibara. He is trying to find out. Also, to me, it seems Haibara is trying to hide her past, which I think has a large reference to everything going on. But Conan knows a lot, and knows how to handle things, but he isn't fully aware of the power the BO holds, or the intense and intelligent people in the org, like Gin and Bourbon.

Like I said, he can BUST them out, and deduce, but he can't catch them, even if he tried at this point. They know how to get rid of leaked evidence (and if someone gets busted they get killed by Gin). They also know when they are being trailed. Not to say the BO is invincible, but the BO is darn near to it. It has been a round half a decade before the series (it hardly seems there is such a thing, as the series has been around for a decade).

Haibara knows the BO and has pointed them out for Conan. Remember Conan didn't even know Gin drove a Porshe 356A? Haibara pointed that out. Haibara has had several feelings that made Conan aware that a presence was nearby, and all those people that she felt ended up being important to the series. Haibara knows the BO. She was a member! She knows what they are capapble. Conan is aware, and knows how to create a slick back-up plan, but often he is taken by surprise. Do you really think he was going to get out of that locker if Gin had found him in the Contact with Black Organization Case?

Well,in the lockers case, Conan had a great plan. Only insane people would start looking inside the lockers and Gin in a moment of insanity
I agree that some Conan plans weren't great, for example when he and Agassa when to that cottage and talked to Vodka(same episode as the lockers?, can't remember, I need a new memory for Conan ), but afterwards like in episode 345 or the Clash of Red and Black, Conan's plan were(I think) almost perfect plans

I think the Clash of Red and Black were almost perfect was because he finally understand how smart Gin is (the moment of insanity from Gin proved it served as a warning for Conan) + he probably got infos and help from Akai (two smart heads are better than one)

She ısnt ımportant? She ıs one of the maın characters.. She ıs the reason why shınıchı wants to grow up..I thınk that she ıs ımportant.. Why dıd thıs all happen? Because Shınıchı went wıth ran to the (I dont know the englısh word but u know what ı mean to the parc). Why? Because of Ran. So thıs all happend because of ran and he wants to be shınıchı agaın becuse of ran.. So ısnt she ımportant enough for the story? does she have to be shrunken to be ımportant? Or does she have to be ın a connectıon wıth the bo? (although she has a connectıon to vermouth because vermouth loves her!)

I didn't mind Ran at first, but I mean, it gets incredibly irritating that she always becomes sort of the damsel in distress and getting into trouble.  I mean her story is very repetitive, you don't need 14 years to tell the childhood friend story.  Ran only really becomes important when she gets into trouble. 

Plus, I think it's annoying that she cries over everything.  Let's see, the very first episode, she cried when kudo solved the murder case (i mean seriously?), she cries like everytime she talks to Shinchi, an example would be when Ran and Sonoko solves that case in that convenience store with Jodie-sensai...I mean she started crying then on the phone!!

She has become such an annoying and unimportant character to the storyline, this is my rant, it is over now.

Well, of course she is important because she is the main reason why Shinichi wants to be himself again and without her, the story would have headed in a completely different diraction. However, she herself isn´t really involved in the whole BO-thing (I wouldn´t go a far as saying that Vermouth loves Ran )- but that´s her role. She has her part of the story and until now, this part doesn´t hold many interactions with BO-members. It´s true that there is Vermouth, but in comparison to other characters (which aren´t even main characters), that´s not much.

hmmm.... I don't mind Ran really... but I think now I understand why I don't like her so much "the crying"... and D.I.D. cases ... but I guess Shinichi needs a motive ^_^ and if Ran is not crying or stuck in a D.I.D case... Shinichi would have no one to protect ^_^ (okay, he has Ai...but Ai doesn't faint often enough, and cry often enough, once... and that's it). What I am ranting about is a hero needs a D.I.D., and Ai is not acting damsel -like (I like that about her ), so the damsel HAS to be Ran ^_^

Edit: Isn't D.I.D. is the typical heroin in shounen manga? (back when Conan first started anyway)

Ran is important, she´s the love interest from the mainhero, but that´s it and her main point in the story in my eyes. And i don´t think that Ran was/is his one and only reason he wants to return to be Shinichi.^^
Everyone wants to return to their old body when they changed into a seven year old body. XD
And remember the first volume? When he talked to Agasa why he wants to change back the first thing he named was cause he wants to put down the BO, to do justice and cause it piss him off to be that small again. XDDDDD
Ran as a reason came after he knows she´s in love with him (and that he´s practically safe when he confess to her later 8) ).

And lol about the last sentence, sounds like Vermouth is a lesbian or bi.

Both girls were damsels in distress, both saved the main hero and both are (probably in one case, still not confirmed) in love with him too.^^
They have a lot of similarities if you look at it that way.
