Hee-he... I'm back... again... muahah. I wanted to try this out by smooshing a different version of my original character and Detective Conan together along with other new characters if I so feel like it. It's something different. ^-^

I couldn't stay away from the writing word... Heh... ^-^;

Sooo... let's go! Whee~!

Chapter One
Osaka Friends
- - - - - - - - - - - - - -
The sun rose high over the city of Osaka, warming the air as the heat beamed down onto the backs of the chattering crowd in the streets of Osaka below. People went on to to their things even during this heat. Tourists and shoppers took up most of the space of the main street.

"Ahoh... this heat is unbearable today..." Hattori stated as he slipped his cap off and wiped the sweat from his brow with his sleeve. "Hey, Kazuha, let's go to the grocery store or something. those places have A.C." he looked back at his friend as he fit his cap back onto his head.

"Eh? Sure, I guess... It is a bit warm out..." Kazuha said as she looked up at the sky. She felt perfectly fine in this weather.

"You're not hot?" Hattori asked her, surprised. It had to be one hundred degrees out! "No, not really. There's a nice breeze out today." She said with a smile. Her eyes met his glare as she was taken aback. "Er..."

"Just because you're allowed to wear mini skirts and belly shirts wherever you want doesn't mean you can flaunt yourself!" Hattori yelled before crossing her arms and mumbling something about 'women'. Kazuha growled back at him and crossed her arms. "What, are you jealous? I can let you borrow a skirt if you really want." She teased with narrowed eyes.

Hattori felt the hairs of the back of his neck raise for a moment before he yelled back at her, "Ahoh! Do you think I want to dress like a girl!?" Kazuha got up in his face this time with a glare. "Ahoh! Then stop whining about it, idiot!"

"Who are you calling an idiot!?" Hattori challenged. Kazuha felt a nerve burst as she growled under her breath. "Who do you think!?"

Hattori was about to retort when he noticed something. A man in a black suit in the distance, talking on his cell phone as he searched the area. He blinked and perked up, watching the man for a long moment. Who was he?

"Heiji!" Kazuha cried as she frowned. "What is it?"

Hattori shook this feeling from him, then grinned. "Ah, nothing, nothing! Nothing at all!" Kazuha put out her hip to steady herself comfortably as she crossed her arms "Uh-huh. Sure." She followed his previous gaze, but saw no one by now. "You're always acting strange, Heiji."

"What are yah talking about!?" Hattori retorted before shoving his hands in his pockets and heading off. "Common. Lets not stand here and let the sun bake us." He headed towards where that man once was, keeping his eyes sharp. It may have been nothing; in fact, that was most likely it. But he was still suspicious of that character. He reached a bit of shade under a nearby restaurant as he relaxed against the wall and sighed, taking his hat off and wiping his forehead once more. "Jeese... I'm gonna melt out here..."

"We could go sit in a restaurant for a bit. I'm a bit hungry, and there's a nice place nearby with A.C." Kazuha said as she looked around. Why did he head over here? He was so weird...

Hattori sighed then looked to Kazuha. "Yeah, sure. I'm kinda hungry too..." He said before standing up and letting her lead the way.

Note From The Author: Tis a subtle beginning, but, I'm going to have a lot of run introducing my favorite character. I've had her for four or so years so far, and the alterations I made to her only make her slightly more realistic... well... at least there's a scientific reason of sorts... so... yeah! ^-^

Chapter Two
A Troubled Woman

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

She panted heavily, her chest burning and sides burning with the pain of stress. She had been running for hours from them, and she could feel her legs starting to give out.She had to stay out of sight of those men though; she could not come in contact with them no matter what.

"There she is!" She heard from behind her as she gasped and dashed off towards the busy streets of Osaka. The heavier the amount of people, the harder it would be for these men to move; yet it would still not be impossible. They would find a way if they had to.
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Heiji stretched and relaxed in the cool of the sushi restaurant. They were waiting for their order now, which gave them time to cool off first. Kazuha looked around the restaurant, enjoying the environment. "See, this place is nice, and it has A.C.!" She said with a smile before looking to Heiji.

He looked away from the window and nodded to her before smiling and looking around the place. "I feel as if I'm in a movie suddenly, and out of the blue there will be gunshots and an evil organization chasing after some experiment gone awry or something." He chuckled to himself a few moments before a snipe rifle rang out. His eyes went wide as he quickly got up from his seat and ran out the door.

"W-Wait... Heiji!" Kazuha cried to him as he ran out into danger once again. "Stay here, Kazuha! I'll be back soon!" He called back before racing out the door. He waited before making any more movements. The crowds were panicking and rushing past him to get into any building possible for safety. This made it easier to pick out a wounded female laying by the fountain in the center of the large market street. "Shiiiit!" He screamed as he hurried through the crowd. Some people tried to stop him saying that it was too dangerous for a kid to be heading that way, but he ignored their gestures.

He rushed out towards the fountain as two men in black with masked faces raced out. Their attention was on the wounded woman by the fountain.

Heiji stopped early, watched them for a moment before remembering the sniper. He looked up into the rooftops, taking a few moments to notice one on a nearby rooftop. The sniper had sadly noticed him and aimed for him. With another curse, he ran towards the two armed men. One of them shot at Heiji, catching him in the right arm with one of the bullets, and in the left leg with another.

He fell to a crouch in pain as adrenaline rushed through him; the pain of being shot was amazing. Nothing could rival a bullet spinning seven hundred miles per hour and burning a hole straight through your skin.

The two men watched Heiji for a moment before heading towards the woman laying limp on the ground. One of them gave orders to the sniper to shoot the Osakan boy to death. Heiji could only curse to himself as his body started locking up in agony. He bite her lip and let out a loud groan of pain as he kick off the ground towards one of the men and pile drived him towards his friend. As his friend went to grab him, Heiji tackled them both at once to the ground in an angry rage.

The men struggled, and the on top raised his gun to Heiji's head. Heiji quickly moved so his head was to the side and grabbed the gun that was in the man's hand. He forced him to pull the trigger before sending his free hand down hard to punch the man square between the eyes with enough force to knock him out; and it did just that.

The man below finally had enough time to retrieve his gun from under his partner as he went to raise i on Heiji, though before he had a chance, the blunt end of the gun in Heiji's grip was down onto the man's skull. It was enough to knock that man out as well.

The sniper fired then as Heiji gasped as ducked, covering his head in fear. There he stayed for a moment after hearing a distant 'clang' of a bullet contacting something hard. He soon blinked and perked up only to look at something that only seemed impossible. That woman that had been shot before was on her feet with a hand held out with a wall of hardened blood in front of her. "Run." The woman said before looking back at Heiji with her lifeless gray eyes. "Please."

Heiji blinked, then growled and yelled at her, "Of course I won't run! I'm goin' to get you out of here safe so you can tell me what the Hell is going on in my district!"

"Your district...?" The woman asked before looking ahead and nodding. The blood red wall quickly shifted to that of a bow shape with an arrow in her free hand. She loaded said bow and pulled back the arrow in a quick, sharp movement. Her eyes found the weakness of the sniper above quickly as she let her arrow fly. It landed not in his head, but the barrel of his gun. The arrow seemed to melt and cover the gun in a lick coagulated goo, rendering it near useless.

She looked to her hand as the bow seemed to melt and the red goo returned to a cut in her hand. "Now, let us go." She said coldly. Though, without warning, Heiji took control of the situation again as he ran up to the woman and grabbed her ran, dashing off towards a nearby alleyway. Kazuha could find him later, it was more important to get this woman out of here and find out what the Hell that was!
- - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Heiji fell to the ground in front of the police department, having been bleeding from two serious wounds. He could not strand to move any more he felt so weak. The woman watched him for a long moment in silence as a crew of police men whom had noticed the two; mainly Heiji, ran over. One of them quickly administered first aid to his gun shot wounds, wrapping them tight around the wound to attempt to stop the bleeding. Another called and ambulance for emergency help.

The last man tried to help the woman's wound, as he saw the numerous holes in her blood stained clothing. He found no wounds on her body though; as if she were dressed this way for the Hell of it, and the blood only meant she could have done this to Heiji. Taking such things to mind, he asked her to come with him and hand cuffed her, bringing her inside the building. The woman could only smile as she headed towards the large building: safety.

Chapter Three
The Wounded

- - - - - - - - - - - - -

Gah... my head... Was all the young Osakan boy could think as his head pounded. He slowly opened his eyes, squinting a bit as he struggled against the sun light. "Uh... uh?" He mumbled as he looked around the white room. He was in the Hospital. It took him a moment to recollect everything before wondering to him, I remember being shot in the arm and leg... but why is my head killing me?

He forgot about it for the moment as he steadied his groggy eyes. They soon fell upon a girl laying her head on the bed beside him. "K-Kazuha...?" He whispered before smiling and relaxing against the bed. She must have been worried, poor girl. He was going to get it from her later, he could feel it.

He brought a hand out from under the blankets and moved some of the hair from Kazuha's face. He was surprised though as she reached up and grabbed his hand. Her eyes looked to him in surprise before they teared up. "H-Heiji? Heiji!" She cried before hugging his arm and sobbing. "I thought you were going to die this time you idiot! Why do you keep doing this!?"

Heiji blinked, then put on a pissy expression. "Do what? Save someone's life? I don't need a reason, stupid. now quit crying, it's depressing." Kazuha sniffed, and wiped her eyes quickly before shooting him a glare. "Well so~rry! You've only been out cold for a week!"

"A w-w-week!?" Heiji stuttered before blinking. He lifted his right arm slowly, feeling a slight pain, but nothing much. the combination of the stitches and seven days of healing time. He was utterly surprised he was out like that for so long. Soon the door of the room opened as a very familiar group walked in. "Ehh...!? Ran? Ku-.. I- I-... I mean Conan!? What er you two doing here?"

"We were waiting for you to wake up." Ran said with a smile before heading over towards the two. Conan sighed and rubbed the back of his neck. "You were so loud that we knew you were awake finally."

"Ahoh! Don't be so mean to the wounded!" Heiji yelled at Conan before grumbling. He looked back to Kazuha as she refused to let his arm go. "Hey, Kazuha... my arm will fall of if you keep strangling it like that..." He said stubbornly. as she let him go finally, he sat up in the bed and stretch. "Gah! So achy!"

Kazuha quickly wiped up her tears and smiled to Ran. "Hello you two." She said happily as Ran nodded. "Hello Kazuha! I hope you're feeling well." Conan simply smiled before looking up to Heiji with a curious look. "What did you get yourself into this time?" He asked in a bold, mean tone.

"H-Hey! It's not like I get hurt on purpose!" Heiji said in a slight stutter. Conan gave him an evil look and simply stated, "Yes, if fact you do."

Heiji felt a nerve snap as he stared down at the child. Ran and Kazuha just stared at to two confused. Just like brothers, always bickering, but yet always caring for each other. "Uh... oh... eheheh..." Hattori started as he looked up to the girls. "I can't really remember what happened right now..." He said before looking down at Conan warily.

Conan caught onto the obvious hint that he was hiding something. He didn't ask any further as he simply grinned to Heiji. "If you say so, Heiji!"

Kazuha and Ran smiled at the two of them. Kazuha then yawned and stretched quickly. "I have to freshen up quickly... I will be back." she said before leaving to room. Ran watched Kazuha then smiled. "I'll come too!" She said before looking down to Conan. "Don't cause any trouble for Heiji, okay, Conan?"

Conan blinked and nodded to Ran. Usually she was watching him like a hawk. It must be a girl thing then... when one girl goes, the other follows and they talk while in the toilet. Women...

As they left, Conan hopped up into a chair and crossed his arms. "Alright, spill." He said suddenly with a serious expression. Heiji nodded to Conan, then sighed as he closed his eyes. "You always talk about them, those men in black."

"Y-you saw...?" Conan's eyes went wide as he could feel a sharp pain in his heart. "Yeah... I think. Two group units and a sniper. They were easy to knock out though, so I think they were very low ranked in the Organization; if they were a part of it that is."

"They shot you? Why?" Conan asked suddenly, all attention on Heiji. His interest was peaked to its highest. "They were after some woman. They sniped her down. When I went to go rescue her, I was shot. though, I kept going with these wounds and took those two guys out." He said before lifting his right arm up to bring his hand into a fist and back out of it a few times is if testing it. "I heard the sniper fire then, and that's when that woman jumped from her pool of blood and saved me..."

"She took the bullet!?" Conan gasped with wide eyes. Heiji shook his head slowly. "No... She blocked it somehow..." Conan perked up curiously. He thought for a moment, though knew that if the woman was in such a bad condition such a thing she be impossible. "How?"

"That's the thing; I don't know. It seemed like magic..." Heiji said, his voice trailing off as he remembered the events of that night. "There's no such thing as magic..." Conan said in a dull, blunt tone. Heiji simply nodded before looking out the window. "That's what I kept trying to tell myself. But when I looked to her... her blood had moved into a thin barrier in front of her, then was able to become a bow and arrow..."

Conan blinked, then cracked up. "That's a good one, Heiji!" He said before shaking his head. "Now what really happe-"

"That's what happened!" Heiji yelled with a serious expression. Conan was stunned as he stared at Heiji, then looked down in though. Blood that could freely move like that... there was no such thing...

"Anyways... I was able to get her in front of the police department before everything went blank. I guess that's when someone called 119 for me." He said before yawning. "I suppose they brought her here, or took her into custody while getting the wrong idea..."

"Then we should go get the answer straight from her mouth." Conan said suddenly in a very serious tone. Heiji looked to Conan the grinned and nodded. "Then let's go!" He threw the covers off and hopped out of the bed. Ignoring the dull pain in his leg, he grabbed his clothing and slipped them on to take place of the ugly medical robe.

As the two headed out, Kazuha and Ran were just heading back. They quickly headed the opposite way of the bathrooms to sneak out of there before they could be seen. "They're gonna be mad later..." Conan said more to himself as Heiji chuckled. "Yeah..."
- - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Conan and Heiji reached the police headquarters soon. They had run here, their strive to know the truth driving them near insane. How did she use such a strange trick?

"Hattori!" An officer cried happily as he ran over to the two of them. "You're alright already? When did you finally wake up?"

"Just ten minutes ago..." Heiji admitted with a smile. "Now, where's my dad?"

The officer gave them directions and the two hurried off to the Chief of Police's office. as they reached the doors, a woman told them that his father was in a meeting. Heiji disregarded the fact as he barged into the room anyways. The teller followed the two and looked to the Chief whom was both angry and surprised at the same time. "I tried to stop them, sir..." The teller said helplessly before the Chief nodded to her. He looked to his son for a long moment, then looked to the group whom had already started packing their things due to and end of their meeting. "I will post the next meeting date." He said to them as he got up from the table and shook their hands, saying a few last comments to each other before they departed one after another.

Chapter Four
The Black Toy

- - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Heiji left out the important detail such as the creepy girl's actions, whom those men really were, and most importantly, that that woman was being targeted. He tried to stay away from those topics more than lie really. He couldn't just let them know about those things really. That organization was Kudo's thing, and he didn't want so much attention placed on this mysterious woman; at least until he found out what he wanted to know.

After Heiji's story, the chief of police accepted the woman's release from the cells. Heiji was there to meet her, of course, with young Edogawa. As the officer opened the door of the cell, the woman in the back perked up and looked to them all. She wiped something from her eyes and slowly got to her feet before walking a bit closer. "You can go if you want..." Heiji said to the woman with a smile. he looked to the officer and whispered something in his ear as he nodded and hurried off. These doors were auto locking, so he was no longer needed, and Heiji had some questioning to do.

"So you kept information from them all...?" The woman asked as the officer disappeared up the stairs. "I was expecting the government to come for me."

"And let them probe you?" Heiji said irritably as he crossed his arms. Conan thought for a moment, looking between the two. "How come you speak with Heiji but not the police, miss? Do you like Heiji~?" He grinned big as the woman looked down at him and blinked. "Like...? He saved me from being taken from them again... so yes. I do." She said with a smile.

Heiji made a weird expression then sighed. "What happened to that wound you had?" He asked suddenly. "You were laying in a pool of blood before, and now you seem perfectly fine." The woman paused, then looked towards the staircase for a long moment.

There was a long silence until Conan piped in again. "Hey lady. That organization will still be after you, right? My mom is a famous actress; she can set up a nice disguise for you. You can live with the Doctor if you want; there should be plenty of room."

The woman looked down to the child and blinked. "Err... I can't do that. If they find out where I am-"

"They'll kill anyone whom has come in contact with you. I know." Conan said with a smile. The woman became shocked suddenly. How did he know such a thing? "Who are you...?"

Conan smiled, pocketing his hands. "Edogawa Conan, a detective."

"Detective? You're so young..." The woman exclaimed with a bit of humor in her voice. Her eyes stayed on his for a long moment before she shook her head and stood up straight. "I can not accept..."

Heiji gave Conan a sharp look, hissing under his breath as Conan went to speak once more. "Ssh! Not yet." He then looked to the woman and crossed his arms. "What was that trick you did earlier."

"Earlier...? You mean speaking Japanese? It is very simple; I thought you would know since you live here and are speaking it but maybe it is just subcon-"

"Not speaking Japanese!" Heiji hissed angrily. "That barrier and bow and arrow trick a week ago! What they Hell was that!?"

The woman was taken aback for a moment. She hesitated, then smiled. "Magic." She said with a nervous smile.

"Magic my ass. I kept from telling the police the truth about you for one reason; to get this information for your mouth now. Of course, I could always tell them the truth and the government can probe your brain for details later I suppose."

The woman put on an expression of dread as she backed away. "N-no... not again... I don't want to be caged up again..." She stuttered nervously as she backed up against the cell bars. "Y-You wouldn't dare..." She watched Heiji's unbreakable stare before looking to the concrete floor. "I-If I answer your questions... will you do me two favors...?"

"What do you want?" Conan asked curiously, feeling a tad guilty for Heiji scaring this woman like this. she looked to Conan, then the floor once more. "First, you must promise never to let anyone know about me. Second... I want you to tell me... your real name, little boy."

Conan and Heiji were both shocked at her ability to tell his fake. Conan took a moment of thought, then smiled. "Only if you come with us." Heiji was shocked at Conan's answer as he crouched down and nudged him. "Kudo... are you sure about this?"

"Yeah. I'm sure." He said with a smile before walking closer to the woman. He relaxed, stopping his acting now that the bluntly accused him of lying. "Now, shall we go somewhere more comfortable? This place is so cold."

The woman stared Conan in the eyes, then smiled. she was right. She did not say anything, but looked to the staircase. Heiji sighed, then headed off. "Common then! Damn... you two act like you've known each other forever. Friggen creepy..." he mumbled to himself as he headed up the staircase. The woman looked to Conan again as he winked. "The Organization would be after me too if they knew who I was. I'm sure if you tell my friend Jodie that you're not a killer, she'll help you hide from them."

"Jodie...?" The woman asked as Conan headed off after Heiji. She blinked, then followed the two, wondering if she should just run away now. She could, it would be simple enough. But... it was not every day you met someone like that kid... nor, either of them. Both were detectives; intelligent, quick thinking, and hungry for the truth.
- - - - - - - - - - - - -

The three of them reached Heiji's house finally after a short walk. Right out of the blue, Ran and Kazuha appeared, angry at the two. "Conan!" Ran cried as she ran over to him and crouched down with the worst expression ever. "You worried me so much! Why did you run off like that?"

"Heiji!" Kazuha cried at the same time as Ran had yelled. She didn't move though. She had obviously been crying earlier. She crossed her arms and tapped her foot, staring Heiji down. "Ahoh! there you are! We knew you two would show up after awhile, but we weren't thinking it would take this long!"

"We have to go soon, Conan. The plane leaves in an hour and dad will come pick us up soon..." Ran said with a sad look.

After a moment of silence, Ran and Kazuha both looked to the woman standing behind the two. "Eh!?" They said in chorus before Kazuha growled at Heiji. "What, you dump us off in the middle of no where and pick up this woman? Do you hate us!?"

"Right now I do!" Heiji finally yelled back at Kazuha before crossing his arms and looking away snuggly. "Pop wanted me to be debriefed. And this 'woman' over here is the one I had saved that night."

"Ehh? So you brought her here? Don't tell me... she's going to thank you by... by..." Kazuha went pale as she cupped her hands over her mouth. "Heiji..."

"It's not like that! I brought her here so that I could ask her a few questions... in private." He said before the two could intervene.

"Oh! And, since she lost her home in a fire a bit ago and has no family in the country, Agasa volunteered to let her stay with him for a bit!" Conan said with a grin. "She can pay for her own ticket of course!"

"Eh? the professor? That's strange... does he know her?" ran asked as Conan chuckled nervously.

The woman blinked at Conan's claim as she looked down at him. She had currency? She was paying for a ticket to Tokyo? Since when? He was the one whom offered to pay for her ticket. "Er..."

Everyone looked to the woman for a long moment before she backed away a bit at all the attention. Kazuha sighed, then stood up. "I'm Mouri Ran. May I ask your name?" The woman blinked and hesitated, then smiled. "You may just call me 'Fenris'."

Conan and Heiji shared a strange look before looking to the woman. Fenris was not a normal name; even in Germany where it originated. And especially not for females. After all, it was the nickname for the son of a Norse god, and was feared by the other gods. Fenrir himself was destined to revolt against the other Gods and Valkyries with his brother, sister, father, and the titans. It was no name for a woman; it was a name of fear.

"Anyways, I'm Kazuha. I feel sorry that Heiji is pulling you into this 'questioning' thing. Are you sure you want to be alone with him?" Kazuha asked as she waited impatiently for an answer.

The woman smiled and simply nodded. She did not feel right in this environment anymore. The two detectives were giving her strange looks. It was not surprising to her though. "It is fine. I just wish we can hurry this before your plane departs."

Kazuha sighed, then looked to Ran. "We can go to the local pastry shop while we wait, neh?" Ran smiled and nodded before looking back to where Conan once was. The boys were already gone. Heiji was pulling Fenris along while Conan followed and waved 'goodbye' to Ran. Ran tried to revolt, but simply sighed and shook her head. "Oh, him..."

Chapter Five
Explanation

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Heiji finally let go of the woman as they reached the main room. The house was always empty at this hour, so it was perfect. Heiji sighed and rubbed the back of his neck. "Sorry about that... if we didn't run I was afraid they'd snatch the little detective too..."

"Er..." Fenris stumbled a bit, dizzy from being pulled around. She rubbed her eyes, then blinked and looked around. This room; it was very nice. One of the nicest places she had been to before. "Can I... sit down...?" She asked nervously as her eyes trailed across the different ornaments on the walls.

"Eh? Sure. I did drag you here after all..." Heiji said before sniffing and heading into the kitchen to make tea. mom wasn't here to do that for him this time. Conan waited for Heiji to leave before walking over to Fenris whom stayed in a daze, staring at the wall displays. "Hey, you said that those men were the ones whom held you captive, correct?"

"Oh! Ah... no, not them. I don't remember them..." She said before crouching down to Conan's height. "They were from the same organization, but I only really saw a few of those men in black... the others were scientists... and we moved around every now and then..."

"Eh...? Do you know some of their names?" Conan asked as he pocketed his hands. "Names... their names were really strange now that I think about it."

"Like yours?"

"Yeah... they were the ones that started calling me 'Fenris'. They have for about twenty years now, so I guess it just rubbed off on me..."

"Th-that long!?" Conan exclaimed, surprised at that fact. He frowned, crossing his arms in thought. "I did not know the organization was around for twenty years..."

"Oh... well... I could be mistaken... but I remember only seeing them for eight of those years..." Fenris said, her voice trailing a bit as she looked up at the ceiling. "In fact, that was when the strange code names started. At least for them..."

Conan was silent for a moment as Heiji walked out of the kitchen with a tray of tea in hand. "Well, sounds like they sold you off as some item..." He stated in thought before placing the tea down on the table and taking a seat. "Anyways... may I ask you to tell us what that healing ability and strange control ability you showed me a week ago was?"

Conan too, took a seat by Heiji as he took one of the tea cups and thanked Heiji. Fenris stayed standing for a bit, feeling out of place. After all, she was born in America. She could not even remember how she had gotten to Japan... it just kind of... happened. "Er, well, the thing is... this is my first time speaking Japanese so I do not know how to say some of the bigger words..." She said nervously before slowly moved to sit with them.

"Wh-What...? You mean this is your first time speaking in public?" Heiji asked confused as he scratched his chin. Fenris shook her head quickly, then looked down with a bit of blush. "Ever... I was left with a lot of books in Japanese and kind of... figured it out after awhile I guess..."

They both stared at her dumbstruck as there was a long silence. Fenris chuckled nervously and looked to the side. "There were some translation books too..."

The two were still amazed as they looked to each other nervously, then Heiji spoke out. "You have to be lying! That's impossible! How could you figure out the pronunciation!?"

"Pr-Pronunciation... oh! Well... I just listened to the scientists. They talked to each other all the time..." She said with a weary smile.

"Th-that's amazing... that could easily top Kudo's soccer skills..." Heiji mumbled to himself as he looked down at Conan whom returned a glare.

"Er... well... I guess the reason would be because of... the... n-nanobots...?" Fenris sounded out as she squinted her eyes. It was a very strange word to translate into Japanese.

"Er... N-Nanobots...? Heiji asked with a weary grin. "Y-you're jokng... not another crazy sci-fi dealing."

Conan looked up to the ceiling and thought for a moment, then smiled at Fenris. "Then everything makes sense. You're amazing memory would also be the work of those, right?"

"I... I guess..." Fenris stuttered as she clasped her hands tight in her lap. Heiji made a funny face, then asked, "If you have nanobots then can't you completely change your DNA in any way? What was that crimson stuff you used?"

"My... blood..." Fenris stuttered quickly before looking around a bit paranoid. "It... it is a bit creepy, but for some reason, that is the most I can do without draining myself of all energy..."

The two were silent for a long moment. This one word, 'nanobots', made them feel like they had just been slapped with a herring. Fenris hesitated, then folded her arms in front of her tightly. "Now that I told you... tell me, Conan Edogawa. Who are you?

"Ah..." Conan blinked, giving a funny look. "Ye-Yeah. But of course, we will keep your secret, you must do the same with mine. Only a select for know of it, so..."

Fenris smiled, and waved a hand. "I promise."

Conan nodded, then sighed as he slipped his glasses of and looked her directly in the eyes. "My name is.. Kudo Shinichi."

Fenris was stunned at first. She shook her head, then looked to the floor in thought. "I knew you survived, but this is a bit extreme... shrinking like this..."

"Eh? How'd you know?" Conan asked, perplexed by her simple answers.

"It took much too long for your name to show up as deceased. The report was only switched just before one of those scientists escaped. Your death was never reported in the newspapers, and right after you disappeared, a Kogoro Mouri became famous in your stead. I only supposed you had something to do with such events."

"Er... you're right..." Conan said with a weak voice. She was more intelligent than to be expected. But this also put worry into his head. She had found out so easily; what if Gin knew? Or what of that new member of the organization, Bourbon? kir had said that he had the mind of a detective.

"Kudo..." Heiji said as he nudged him. "Ran should be back here soon." He said before looking to Fenris. "If you would mind, what is your real name? Calling you such a damned name does not feel right."

"Uh... oh..." Fenris started bluntly before looking up to the ceiling. After a few minutes, she looked down at them with a smile. "I can't remember..."

"Er... you can remember everything but your name...?" Heiji started before Conan nodded and stood up. "Its okay. In your situation, it is okay to forget." Heiji gave Conan a look, then sighed and nodded. "I still won't be comfortable calling you after an evil character... due you have a name in mind you like?"

"Er... not at the moment..." Fenris said with a nervous grin before looking to the floor.

Conan thought for a moment before something hit him. She needed a passport; not only that, she could not go wandering around in rags. Maybe... "Can you sneak onto a plane without being seen?" Conan asked innocently. Heiji blinked, then glared at Conan. "Ahoh! Kudo, that's illegal!"

"Well, how else are we going to get her to Tokyo?" Conan asked with a smug look. "Have her walk? Tie her to the tail of the plane? I think not."

"I think... I might have one..." Fenris mumbled to herself before looking to them. "I was in America when I was four... then when I joined some program, I was brought to here... you have no idea how confused I was leaving that building..." She said with a soft giggle before smiling. "Is there a way they can to a search for a passport?"

"Without your name, we can't. Plus, after a few years, those things need to be revised..." Heiji said before sighing. "Whatever; have fun you little brat." Heiji said before grumbling to himself.

Conan smiled and nodded. there was a knock at the door as a man's voice called though. "Oi! Ran! Are you in there? Ran!"

"Uncle...?" Conan called back as he ran over to the door and opened it for him. Detective Kogoro looked around the room quickly before looking down at Conan. He scowled and crossed his arms. "Oi, where's Ran?"

"You didn't see here, uncle...? She should have come back by now." Conan said nervously before looking back to Heiji. Both of them shared a freightened expression as Fenris looked between the two. "They said they were going to the pastry shop..." Fenris said quietly, feeling a bit worried as to the sudden tension in the room.

Conan and Heiji suddenly shot out the door leaving Kogoro and Fenris for a moment. They both shared a vacant expression before Kogoro chased after them leaving Fenris alone.

Chapter Six
Where are they?
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

"Ran!"

"Kazuha!"

Conan and Heiji were desperate by this point. They were nowhere to be seen. Not in the bakery, on the streets, anywhere...

Conan and Heiji, both out of breath, took a moments rest as they eyed the area. They had lost Kogoro a bit back as well. A drunk man could not keep up with them for this long; nearly hours. "Sh-Shit..." Conan breathed as he grabbed his shirt, trying to catch his breath.

Heiji went into a crouch for a moment as he eyed down every alley way. "We-We've been everywhere around... the area..."

Conan grinned in anger, then slammed his fist hard to the cobblestone floor beneath his feet as he fell to his knees. "Dammit! Where are they!?"

Heiji shook his head, then stood up again, trying to think clearly. Where could they be? Ran and Kazuha would not pick up their phones, they did not call, nothing. "Do you think that...?"

"I hope more than anything not..." Conan said as he finished collecting himself. He stood up, unable to atop his body from shaking or change the guilty expression on his face. "We let them run free when it was so dangerous..."

Heiji paused, staring down at Conan for a moment. "K-Kudo..." He murmured before biting his lip and looking up at the sky. "Let's head back to my place. If they haven't shown up there yet, then we will have to think up something from there. We can;'t just keep running ourselves around to death like this..."

"H-How can you say that!?" Conan screamed, looking up at Heiji with fury before halting himself. He looked down and nodded. "You're right. We should also check up on Fenris to make sure she is okay."

"We lost Kogoro awhile back, so I thought he might have headed back." Heiji said before picking Conan up and slinging him onto his back for a piggy back ride before starting off towards home. Conan continued to watch the streets carefully as Heiji thought of every possible nearby place. They had checked every building they could think of. Schools, warehouses, construction sites, abandoned buildings... There was nothing inconspicuous left. Except maybe the sewers. He thought for a moment and looked towards a nearby manhole.

"It's not likely." Conan said out loud as his eyes watched the same location. "Ran and Kazuha were taken during daylight. It would be obvious if they had opened a manhole cover and went down. Plus, it had rained the past few days down here before the heat storm, right? The paths are probably flooded right now."

Heiji's face distorted in agitation before he sighed. "They probably kept moving locations during the day; or they went further than we could travel on foot by now." It was silent for a long moment as Heiji walked down the path to his house. He opened the front door only to be greeted by his mother.

"Heiji! Who is this ragged woman in the living room!? People came to look for her a few times and she told me that you said not to tell anyone she was here." the tall woman stated angrily before getting a good look at the two boys. "Conan... are you not supposed to be in Tokyo by now? Why are you two out of breath?"

Heiji sighed, bringing a hand up to his forehead to rub his temple. "Ran and Kazuha are missing..." He said in an attempt of a calm tone. Conan perked up, then looked to Heiji's mother. "Wait... you mean uncle didn't come back yet?"

Heiji blinked, then looked to his mother desperately. "Kogoro isn't here, is he?"

"Ah... no..." Shizuka stuttered at the sudden shock of the situation. Conan grinned irritable as he let go of Heiji's shoulders and slipped down onto the ground. "Where is that woman...?" He asked quickly as Heiji already ran inside to check on her.

"The living room..." Shizuka said. Conan nodded, then started running inside before Shizuka continue, "Those men that came here earlier. They said that if you were to return, to give you some note..." She said before pulling out the letter. "I did not read it, and was about to throw it away when you two came home..."

Conan took the letter and thanked Heiji's mother before running off after him. He found Heiji and Fenris talking to each other solemnly; Heiji was explaining the situation in more detail than he did for his mother. "Heiji..." conan said as he held out the note. "It's from them."

Heiji perked up, then quickly snatched the note and ripped it open. He read it up and down before blinking and looking to Conan in silence. "K-K-Kudo... Thye... They..."

Conan caught on quickly as he walked over to Heiji. Heiji crouched down and showed Conan the note. The little boy's eyes traced over the writing for a moment before his eyes went wide, then filled with tears as anger erupted in him. "What is it?" Fenris asked as she watched the two with a saddened expression.

"They want to trade to trade... the three of us for Ran, Kazuha and Kogoro..." Conan said softly before looking to Fenris. "If we do not accept..."

"They will take you by force and send us to our graves..." Heiji finished before swearing and slamming his fist against the wood. "Kudo... look whom signed it..."

"Eh...?" Conan perked up from his daze before looking the note through one more. "Gin...?" Conan questioned before gritting his teeth. "G-Gin..." He shook his head, then noted down the address to meet them at. It was surprisingly close to here. How did they miss them? "Let's go, Heiji..."

"Eh!? We're just goign to give up? Just like that?" Heiji questioned. Soon, police sirens were clear as day just outside. Heiji cursed as he looked out the livingroom door, seeing by the door railing a part of his mother's kimono. He narrowed his eyes, then grabbed Fenris' wrist. "Mom, if you tell dad any of this, you'll only get yourselves killed!" He yelled as Conan perked up. He was so into the situation right now, he had let her presence slip his mind. He felt a push from behind as Heiji ran past Conan towards the back exit. "Common! We're getting out of here before things get worse!"

Shizuka quickly headed towards Heiji as Conan chased after him. "We're sorry! We promised Ran and Kazuha will be back safely soon! Please, don't let them follow us! For your sake and ours!"

Shizuka was speechless as she watched them run off, tears filling her eyes. "Hei-... ji..." She whispered as officers soon barged into the house and checked each of the rooms. Heizo ran up to his wife and looked around. "What happened, Shizuka? Where's Heiji?"

She mumbled something, not breaking her gaze from the back door until her name was called once more. She jumped, then looked up to her husband. "They left... they ran away, Heizo..."

Chapter Seven
The Exchange?

- - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Conan walked in front of the group this time, this night vision lens up and running on his glasses. He was searching for any sign of the organization members as they made their way towards the meeting area. Heiji stayed behind Fenris to keep watch. It would be bad if she were taken while out of their sights. She was the main target after all.

Fenris stayed amazingly calm through this whole situation. She did not seem phased at all by the fact that she may be heading back to that cell. Heiji noticed this soon as he sighed and moved closer to her to whisper. "Hey... aren't you even nervous? After all, these men had you pinned up in a cell for years, didn't they?"

Fenris blinked and looked back at him, blinking a few times before giving a wary smile. "It is charming of you to care, but it is easy to escape from them. I did it once before, right? Plus... I'd feel better if your friends were returned safe instead of me troubling you. I would feel like I was at fault for running into you a week ago..."

Heiji tsked, then made a sarcastic expression before whispering in response, "Ahoh! I'm not some idiot who blames others for fate. What happens happens. Even if it sucks."

Fenris waved a hand in a silly gesture, then looked down at the sidewalk tiles as they continued. "I would rather be the easy exchange rather than the cause of deaths for so many people. I hope you will understand... if it comes down to it... I'd rather you accept and hand me over to them."

Conan gave her a look before looking ahead again. "Idiot. As if we'd do something like that. Playing with people's lives is immoral. We'd rather find a way to get us all out of this alive."

"Is it possible, though...?" Fenris asked with a solemn expression. "I've heard of this Gin fellow before... the blond haired one, right?" Conan perked up a bit, then looked forward again. "He... has really mean eyes. He has this strange aura around him that makes me feel nervous."

Conan hesitated, then chuckled softly. "You know, you remind me if someone I know... not by too much, though. Your thought pattern seems to be the same about the Organization, though..."

"Eh? How so...?" Fenris asked as she caught up to the little boy whom had wandered ahead a bit to check an alleyway. Conan looked back at her with a nervous smile and responded, "You both fear them, but yet enjoy to act tough about them when you're not around them. Not only that, but... you both feel as if I should freely give you up to them instead of fighting..."

"They're after her too? Who is she...?" Fenris asked as she looked up in though. She had a list of names in mind of people they were hunting. Everything from traitors to witnesses.

"I'll tell you later..." conan said with a smile. "Better yet... you can meet her." He said with a smile before looking forward again and checking the roofs. He spotted the meeting place ahead, a theater that had just closed the day before. He checked the roofs and zoomed into a few areas nearby, spotting two snipers. "Be careful... we're being watched..." Conan said as Heiji perked up. "Snipers...?" Heiji asked as Conan nodded. "Sadly, yes."

Heiji nodded, then caught up to the front. "I should go first. It would look strange if you show the way, neh?" Conan nodded, then looked up to Heiji. "Oh, yeah... and... Heiji, watch your words in there. Got it? I don't want any more name slip ups..."

"Eh? Oh... Aheh... well... you know it's hard enough to remember one name..." He said softly before looking towards the theater. There was no traffic; this area of town was always empty at this time. Perfect for an exchange. Heiji gave a wary look, then headed across the street with the group. He only hoped Conan's plan went perfectly. This situation was too hairy for anything to screw up.
- - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Heiji opened the already unlocked doors to the theater. It was dark in the hall, but ahead, there was a faint light from the stage. Conan held his hand up and took Fenris' hand as he gave her a nervous look, putting on his childish act. "You're so brave! You're not afraid of the dark?"

Fenris looked down at the child now holding her hand, surprised by the sudden change in acting. She smiled and continued to follow Heiji down the hall. "Nah. I'm used to the dark." She said softly as Conan made a "Oooo~!" sound. "It's so spooky though... Hey, do you think there ware ghosts here?"

Fenris giggled and shook her head. They reached the stage as Heiji walked into the dim room. The light was only coming from the stage lights, allowing you to be able to see the silhouettes of the seats and get around easily, but only that.

A familiar voice called out through the quiet of the room; a very recognizable voice. "Please move onto the stage."

Conan blinked, looking up around the room. That voice was... Kir? "Wooow~! Who do you think that pretty voice is from, neh?" Heiji scoffed to Conan's silly acting before heading up towards the stage. It was easier to relax in such a horrible situation when Conan acted in such a way. He was the first onto the stage as he looked up at the balcony seats. With the lights pointed at his face, it was hard to see anyone if they were up there. They most likely had a sniper on the two balcony seats on the sides of the theaters. They were the best shooting spots if they were to run, after all. there was more visibility for them.

He could feel the stares fall onto him as he led Fenris and Conan up onto the stage. "Alright, you pretty mysterious voice. We came as you asked. Now, where are the girls and uncle?"

"They will be let go soon. We have instructed them to call you as soon as they were in the care of your dear mother and father." The woman's voice responded before continuing. "I must ask that you have the woman in your group walk offstage to the right where she will be escorted away."

Conan smiled, covering his eyes to block out the light. "Hey! You sound familiar, lady! Were you on TV?" He suddenly shouted before hs eyes went to the floor. He found what he was searching for; the trap door on the stage. Heiji sighed, then looked offstage to the right. Through the blinding light, he could see two silhouettes; a tall man, and a shorter, bulkier man. "And what if we refuse to let her go alone?"

"Then we will take you both out as well as your little friends." The voice responded before Conan spoke up. "Now that's unfair! What if you get what you want, and kill all of us just to keep our mouths shut? I say you should let them all go first!"

"... Very well." The woman's voice responded after a moments pause of receiving orders from Gin. "They have been let go; you should receive a call soo-"

Conan jumped as his cell phone rang; not the one he wanted to ring though. This was Shinichi's phone. He went pale as he stared up at the lights, then took out the phone and handed it to Heiji. "Heiji! You gave me your phone earlier, remember?"

Heiji perked up, then quickly took the phone. Her gritted his teeth, then looked to the caller I.D. "A-Ah..." He hesitated, then opened the phone up. "Hello? Yeah, it's Heiji. Who do I sound like?! ... I'll... explain later. Right now, just get home. If something happens, call me again, kay?"

He hung up the call, then pocketed the phone with his own. "Alright then. But first, might I ask a few questions of our beautiful hostess tonight?" Heiji said with a sly smile as he crossed his arms. "As a Detective, there are a few things on my mind."

"There is no need for questioning. We only wish to complete this transaction, with or without you leaving this building with the ability to move."

Chapter Eight
Escape

- - - - - - - - - - - - - -

The three ran as fast as they could from where ever they were before. Kogoro was in the lead, hightailing it back towards the police department. "Damned! I thought you called that detective brat!" Kogoro yelled to Ran. She was just as confused, of course. "I-... I did. I called Shinichi's phone number."

"Then why did Heiji pick up?" Kazuha huffed before stumbling a bit and catching herself. "You don't think he came down here!?"

"He... He came down here...?" Ran asked more to herself as her mind wandered a bit. Maybe... no, that was silly. Would he actually come down all this way for her? And for that matter, why did Heiji answer his phone instead of himself?

Kogoro growled as he stopped in his tracks. In the distance were the bright lights of the police department; but in their way was a barricade of men with guns in hand. One of them chuckled and moved forward. "We're sorry, but we can not allow our insurance to wander off, now can we?" A woman's voice called as from the shadows, the blond haired beauty moved closer.

"Y-You...?" Ran whispered to herself as she stepped back is surprise. No, it couldn't be... that voice was similar, but this was a famous actor; Chris Vineyard!

Vermouth smiled slyly before cooing, "Please, drop your cell phones, will you? We can not have our little deal to become... messy."

"Deal?" Kazuha cut in as she gripped her hands into fists and moved back with Ran. Kogoro moved in front of the girls defensively and growled. "What deal!?"

Vermouth scoffed before responded by cocking her gun. "Drop the cell phones..."

Ran looked to her pink cell phone for a long moment, then dropped it. Kazuha and Kogoro followed after as Vermouth nodded, then moved a bit closer. "My, my... the famous Mouri Kogoro? I did not recognize you at first. What a hack you are to get caught this easily."

"Wh-What!?" Kogoro fumed. Ran grabbed her father's arm quickly, holding him back as he seemed ready to pounce. "Father! Stop!"

"Yes, father. Stop it before your brains are blown out." Vermouth mused before pointing her gun towards the nearby villa. "Now, we have graciously cleared out a place for this part. How about you hurry on up?" She smirked as she flipped her hair back, feeling a wave of victory flood over her every nerve. Once they were killed, she would burn the villa down and escape; a clean assassination process.

Two shots thundered through the air as two of the men behind Vermouth fell, blood trickling from the entrance wound of a bullet in their foreheads while the rest gushed from the back. Everyone was startled by this as Vermouth looked up towards the ceilings in surprised. "No way... those two were..."

"Does this remind you of anything?" Another woman's voice came from behind the trembling captives. Everyone turned to look as a tall woman with short blond haired slowly approached with gun in hand.

"J-Jodie sensei...?" Ran whispered as she was pushed back by Kogoro to get out of the line of fire. Two more shots were ifred as the last of the two 'henchmen' were taken down. Jodie brought her finger to her ear to listen to a message carefully before responding into the mouthpiece, "No, leave the last target to me."

"How gutsy of you..." Vermouth cursed as she held her guns steady at Jodie. "Does this seem familiar to you?" Jodie questions with a smirk. "Only this time, I will not allow you to take anyone hostage." Jodie said before moving in front of Kogoro and company.

"Oh, really?" Vermouth mused. She kept her calm composure for the most part as she eyed the group Jodie was protecting. "And what are these people to the F.B.I." She said out loud, making sure they all heard.

Jodie narrowed her eyes as she gripped the trigger of her gun tighter. "They are-"

"Friends of Cool guy?" She asked curiously before approaching slowly. "Ah, and the little Angel is here, too!"

"Be quiet!" Jodie snapped with a growl. "I do not understand what you think will come of your useless ramblings-"

"My, don't tell me they are still in the dark about everything, Miss. F.B.I." vermouth teased innocently. "Oh well. I suppose you were planning on telling them everything about it later when your dead friend's bodies are excavated from that large fire."

"F-Fire!?" Ran squeaked as she clasped her hands over her mouth. Jodie glared at Vermouth with such hatred. She wanted to pull the trigger now, but it was much to risky. There was a short silence before vermouth smiled and moved closer to Jodie and the group. "Why do you not fire, Jodie? Are you afraid I will aim for one of them and take them out with me? My, then they are already my hostages, aren't they?"

Jodie didn't respond as she looked back at the group behind her. If they ran, they would be prime targets.

"My, I was right..." Vermouth said as she stopped a few feet in front of them all. Ran stared at Vermouth, terrified. She could not find the courage to move. What would Shinichi do? What would he do when it came down to this? He would... fight... he would protect and put his life on the line for those he loved.

'Shinichi... you've always been strong...'
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Conan looked around the room as he wandered seemingly mindless of the surrounding, only to step over the trap door. "This place is big~" Conan mused before looking to Heiji and smiling. "Neh, brother?"

Heiji ignored Conan as he crossed his arms and looked down at the floor. "Now then. My little questionnaire... if you please? then we will glady accept. It is the wish of a silly, soon to be deceased, detective..." Heiji said in a doom filled, depressed tone.

There was a long pause before Kir responded. "I will answer depending on what question you ask." She replied as she watched them from the center balcony. She felt bad about this; Conan was there. Why was he there? She did not want to have him killed. Not like this...

"What is this woman's real name?" Heiji finally called out with a smile. "As a dying wish, I would like to know."
- - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Ran decided finally. She would act. Dashing out suddenly, she stayed out of the way of range as she came towards Vermouth. Vermouth's concentration broke at the sudden actions. Jodie took such an opportunity to fire. A bullet ran right against Vermouth's chest as she stumbled back and gripped her chest. "D-damn..." She cursed before bringing her arm up to point her gun at Ran. Though, before she knew it, a kick flew through the air and knocked it right out of her hand.

Jodie grinned, not believing the situation. Conan had told her that this would happen; Ran would find herself able to fight if there was enough tension. She was an Angel... "Ran, stay back!" Jodie called out as she tightened her grip on her gun again. Vermouth went to grab Ran's wrist to knock her down.

Ran was a captain of the karate team, though. She could stand up against simple tactics. She flicked her wrist to the side and abused the moment to send a flurry of quick punches at her chest. Each one hit something hard as Vermouth took the punches with ease, mainly. She accepted them, only to take the situation by storm as she slipped a knife from her hip and quickly sent it towards Ran's stomach.

The familiar force of the pointed blade penetrating skin fell over her as the punches weakened and halted. Vermouth grinned and ripped the dagger out. Right as she had done so, though, bullets rang out from all directions. The sniper rifles shot out Vermouth's head and back as Jodie fired for the chest multiple times.

Vermouth's face was stuck in take of shock, the bullets, if they were not shot all at once, would have forced her down onto her back. Her body slowly fell forward as she collapsed onto the cold hard pavement. Jodie didn't hesitate as she ran over to Ran and checked the wound. For a direct hit, it was not terrible. No more than a 3 cm penetration due to the weakening from the punches ran was throwing out.

"R-Ran!" Kogoro yelled out finally as she dashed over and went to his shocked daughter's side. He tried to snap her out of whatever she was concentrating on. Her eyes were glued to the bloodied form o the ground, her skin paled, from blood loss and fear. "She will be fine physically.." Jodie said to Kogoro before kneeling down to search through Vermouth's pockets quickly.

Kazuha went to Ran's side as she saw Ran go limp suddenly. Her and Kogoro both caught her as Jodie reloaded her gun and hollstered it. "Please, do not say anything about seeing me to the police." Jodie said as before excavating a small black case from Vermouth's pocket. She checked inside, only to be pleased by her findings. "Agent Camel will drive you back safely to the precinct. Please stay close to the police until your friends could to find you." Jodie said with a smile before a car pulled up behind her. Camel looked out the door to get a better look at the scene. "The police have become hectic, searching the streets suddenly. I'm afraid you should hurry, Jodie."

Jodie blinked, then walked over to the dropped cell phones. She picked then up and gave two of them to to group. "I'm sorry. I need her phone for a little bit. It will be returned to you as soon as possible." Jodie said before dashed off, calling orders into her mic all the while. There needed to be a clean up crew on the streets as soon as possible. With the police running around, it would not be long before they would wander upon a pile of dead people; one being a famous actress.
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Shinichi's phone rang suddenly as Heiji picked it up with a sudden frantic acting. "Hello? Hello!? Ran!? ... Shit..." He stared up at the lights with a loathing expression. "The deal is off." He said suddenly. He could hear silenced gun shots ring out as shortly after two thuds followed. He grinned and waved to the lights. "Good bye! Have a sweet time behind bars!"

He heard the guns being cocked from off stage as he grabbed Fenris' arm and pulled her close. Withing that instant, the stage trap door broke as they fell down an easy ten feet. They all landed with a bit of pain before dashing down the hall. "That's a very useful skill you have there!" Heiji called out to Fenris with a grin as she followed behind, her hand slowly healing back up. "being able to cut open the trap door so suddenly like that; I kinda wish I could do that!"

Fenris chuckled as they reached the back door. Heiji reached out and threw the door open only to have a pistol pointed at his head. He went a bit pale as he stared into the dark eyes of a cold blooded assassin.
Gin...
