Re: The Boy Who Cried Wolf: (FILE 759-76?) Vote For The Savi
Oh I seriously doubt he actually will, I just really hope so. Especially since in the manga the DB don't even really know anything about Shinichi, you know?

To say that Conan knew that they were not the kid's parents by genetic appearance is not a real kind of "detective analysis", so i think there will be something else that's more "detective analyzed" proof, which should be solved by DB.

Does anyone here noticed that the drawing in this chapter is weird. I've read through page 1 - 10, and the drawing is different from the other chaps. Conan's sick face, haibara's face looks different, and some circumstances are weird too (haibara talk about conan's sickness, yield at him part).

Re: The Boy Who Cried Wolf: (FILE 759-76?) Vote For The Savi
I usually don't meddle with cases that aren't published in my country, but this looked like an independent story and I was bored. ;P *bounces* I'd love the Detective Boys to get out of the trouble by themselves, especially when there's Ai with the kids.
Whatever the Mendelian trait, I'll lose all my faith in Haibara if she can't figure it out. She should know this kind of stuff! :<
Sorry about quoting such an old post, but I don't think it can be the chin. The key picture on page 7 doesn't properly show the woman's face, and the man also has a small but visible cleft chin – not that much of a dimple, but still not round nor pointy. Instead I'd say Conan sees one of the most basic examples of dominant traits: the hairline. The pointy hairline the boy has is called a widow's peak, which the fake parents don't have.Kleene Onigiri wrote: Edit: Also just noticed. The boy has a Cleft chin, while the fake parents don't.

I voted for DB saving themselves cause there has to be a reason for Conan being sick. About how he knew? I think it was that conversation and the way that fake father had grabbed him by his shirt. Seriously, would any parent do that? I don't really think so...

Yeah! 760 is on! I laughed at part: I trust Haibara to not let them go into the fakers apartment. And... She was the one to propose this. But why did it had to be a case with Japanese words?! Now I can't solve it!

Yeah, thats true, but considering he wanted some other characters, I will still wait for the entire message. I guess this case just can't be solved by not-japanese-speaking people.HADAA wrote:Spoiler: hint to solving the code
The only czech Heroman/YGO/Conan/Haruhi movie translator/encoder/karaoke maker/typesetter. I don't know about you, but it seems like too much for a one person to me. But oh well, the important thing is that YOU are having fun, right?

There is a physical clue, the cleft chin on the boy. (plus the pointy nose)WolfenAmphithere wrote: uh, Feb, did you even read the last 15 posts or so?
and I agree that the conversation was odd, I just thought there had to be a physical clue as well, knowing Conan. I'm more curious to know if he's gonna become Shinichi again, since that's what happens EVERY TIME he gets a cold xD

Page 7
Page 8
Page 15
Page 16
Picture 7? Sure, the reader doesn't see the chin. Which is strange actually. Page 6-7 you(the reader) doesn't see the chin of the fake mother at all. This usually doesn't happen. Not over and over when a person is show. Gosho tried to hide the face of the mother here, since on the next few pages, conan says that they aren't blood related. So the reader would turn back and compare child and parents. And wouldn't see the mother's chin. And also, the cleft chin is barely to notice.
But on page 15, some time after conan said they aren't blood related, you can see the fake mothers face and there is no cleft chin.
On page 16 you can see the cleft chin from the boy much better too now.
If you meant that conan couldn't see that. Well, first there are "pictures between the panels". So just because the reader doesn't see it on a panel, doesn't mean conan didn't.
And on page 6, the last panel. The reader is behind the fake parents and see them from the side. But Conan "is in front of them" (cellphone) and he can see them clearly. (fake parents don't have the hand in front of their own face)
Page 8 Conan says: "They weren't even blood-related, but they acted as if they were his biological parents!"
Page 7 the fake mother said: "... born from my aching belly" and the fake father: "And your slanted eyes came from father"
So conan had to know that they aren't blood-related. Which should be a genetic attribute. The cleft chin.
The strangeness in the talk was, that the fake parents wanted to point out that they are blood related, tho they aren't. Even if they would have adopted the boy, the parents wouldn't point it out in front of strangers so much. And conan noticed

Re: The Boy Who Cried Wolf: (FILE 759-761) Vote For The Saviour
Well, it looks like the Detective Boys noticed something that the adults don't: Conans expression when he solved a case.
To bad it really seems to be a word - puzzle, which makes it kind of impossible (for most of us) to figure out the message. On the other hand we pretty much know all the facts already. I still think the "robbers" are looking for something that is hidden in the apartment that was hidden there by the guy who lived there before. Which is why they can't leave until they have found it.
On the other hand the question remains how the Detective Boys are supposed to "win". 4 children (+1) against 2 adults with a hostage (and one has a knife) is not the best situation to be in...
