Hello~
Hi, nice to meet you~
Name: Perrine
Age: 22
Location: Belgium
Future Career: Translator
Conan Fan Since: 2006
Favorite Conan Movie: Tie between 8 and 14, I think.
Favorite Conan Case: Hard to say. I love the current BO/FBI-related arc.
Favorite Conan Opening Theme: MAGIC (I blame DCTP's awesome karaoke for making me addicted to this one) and Ai wa Kurayami no Naka de
Favorite Conan Ending Theme: PUZZLE (movie ending count too, right?
Other Favorite Anime/Manga: There's a lot of them, but the ones I think about the most for the moment are: Higurashi/Umineko, YGO, Kimi ni Todoke, Spice & Wolf, Durarara... and other stuff...
I'm a big fan of the Tales series, even if it's more video game than anime/manga (though they have a few adaptations).
Favorite Movies: not a big movie watcher, so mostly Pirate of the Caribbean, LotR, HP, that kind of things... Ah, The Phantom of the Opera, too.
Favorite Songs: Maria&Joker, Eitsuraku Camellia, Orchestral Fantasia and Toraware no Babel (Mizuki Nana), Umineko no Naku Koro ni, Haresugita Sora no Shita de, Inori no Kanata (Shikata Akiko), Dark Chest of Wonders, Ghost Love Score, The Escapist (Nightwish), Mémé (Manau).
Favorite TV Series: Dexter. Well, that's the one and only non-animated TV series I watch, so...

Re: Hello~
Hi Minami! Welcome to the forums! I'll be the first to welcome you here at DCTP, and I see we already have some similar interests...Lord of the Rings is by far my favorite movie series, ever! And Duradura is an awesome show, very nice.
Ai Wa Ka Kurayami (long-ass name) by Zard is of course great, awesome opening and an even better story arc.
And I hear good things about Dexter! I don't watch a whole lot of real shows but i was addicted to LOST when it was airing, and I recently started watching The Walking Dead.
As a translator, what type of languages are you exactly specializing in?

Re: Hello~
Thanks for the welcome ^^
@ranger:
I love Zard. Such a pity that she passed away. I nearly cried when I learned about it.
Dexter is great; I just love detective stories lol. I don't have a TV at home (well, I have, but there's no channels - it's just for the consoles and DVD player), so I'm not really used to watching series. My brother was the one to introduce me to Dexter.
And as a translator, well, IRL I'm studying English and German translation (into French, which is my mother tongue). On the net I translate from Japanese into English, mainly in the Tales fandom (usually just Drama CDs, though I've been trying to translate guides or light novel extracts too recently; I'm also part of Abyssal Chronicles's fansub team for the anime/OVA).
@ShiraKiryuu:
Tales fan too? =3

Welcome, new person!
If you don't mind crazy, I'm sure you'll love it here. We're (mostly) a pretty friendly bunch.
Don't be surprised if your introduction topic turns into mass off-topicness within the next page or so, though. That's normal. Also, you'll probably get a big welcome post shortly from our resident stalker the Community Detective Yurikochan's husband, Conia.
@Commi: I thought of you when I saw her(?) movies. XD "Commi's new best friend!"

Re: Hello~
Haha this place seems fun. Been a few years since I stopped visiting the Conan fandom... I don't think I'll regret coming back to it =P
@PhoenixTears: "her" ^^
@Dus: I did a bunch of other things before finally deciding on Translation, so I'm still in my 3rd Bachelor, but yes, Brussels ^^
Out of curiosity, Tales fans, which are your favourite Tales?

Re: Hello~
Welcome to the family!
First and foremost, I'd like to inform you about a certain member here who goes by the name xpon: he is a very perverted stalker and likes to steal undies. It doesn't matter if you're a boy or a girl, nowhere is safe when he's there.
On the Off-Topic Board, and I'm sure you'll find soon enough, weird but awesome organizations are commonplace. They doesn't require you to join, but you'll find it hard to resist taking a peek on what they are and what they do. To make things easy for you, here's a list of the current groups inhabiting the OT: First, we have the Japan Domination Committee, the very first DCTP organization founded by yours truly and his awesome cat. If conquering countries is your forte, please visit us here. We might need of your assistance. Next up, the original Harem led by Abs. and PhoenixTears. Harems are normal, so don't get freaked out that much. Though it's okay to scream and yell for help if you ever get recruited. Then we have the ever-so-popular Onionhead Fanclub, managed by our resident onion, nomemory. If you have a penchant for cute emoticons, then you might want to join, if not, I insist, you MUST join. Next in line is the CCP residing in the First Impressions Thread. I can't say much about them, but you'll find out by asking Conia or Callid, the founders of the pact. And last but not the least, my sister's twisted Sad East Kingdom, the newest group to-date. I'll stay away from it if I were you. Unless you're an M, then feel free to... well, be the Queen's slave.
Ever heard of the game Mafia? Come play with us. Let's kill...
...some time.
Oh, and another thing, if you come across Girl19 here, don't pick up a fight (or even discuss something with her) if you don't want to get your ass kicked. Stay away from Kleene Onigiri, too, if she wants to make you her new punching bag-- yes, riceballs can punch. Be wary of Eve for she is, well, evil. I need not to elaborate.
Don't worry about that shadow behind you. That's probably Conia, our Community Detective-- if not, then it's Shadowman, who else? Another one here named Akonyl likes bees. He's the Bee Princess, so he expects you to pay homage to him and give him wasp presents.
A little heads-up: Parkur is a flirt, so don't be surprised if he sends lots of ":-*" your way. (line deleted)
Don't worry, you'll meet lots of friends in the course of your stay here, like bears, holiday butt-punchers, mad scientists, evil princesses, ninja assassins, weird-named people, and drunk raccoons. A lot of skirmishes happen between members, and you might get involved, but please do not try to even utter a single insult against Ai, if you don't want to be squashed, chopped, burned, tortured, pitch-forked or poked by the AiCons. Of course, the same applies to Kaitou KID. Though I reckon it's covered already by the mods.
Oh, I almost forgot! You need to attend this class... you'll need it.
---
DCTP forumers are unique. They're wild, crazy, and out-of-this-world. But that makes them special.
So, again, I welcome you here, and please don't hesitate in praising Haibara, many people do that, you'll pass unadverted in front of the mods eyes. Go off-topic (Even in Off-Topic), annoy people-- just go and have fun.
I'm bluekaitou1412, btw. I'm married to a cookie, and have a cat for a pet. I hope you enjoy your stay... and hopefully you too, will find this family the best there is.
