But whenever a friend walks by and he/she caught me watching DC they'll get interested, until the ep is finished.
But that's how far it goes.
They'll forget it later.
That's the same with mine. My cousin/s would pass by and watch the current ep I'm watching. If it's a two-part case, he/she'll eagerly ask for the continuation and that's about it. I think it's because every case has a sufficient ending. Also, they just don't how awesome the main plot goes. Not to mention the length of DC while we fans know that it's worth the wait.

Then, I have this guy friend who liked DC way before I did but doesn't follow it. Now that I'm addicted to DC, he won't watch it on his own. Probably because I'd taunt him whenever he reads/watches Naruto. LOL Talk about being evil. Don't get me wrong. I'm sure Naruto has a huge fanbase because there's something genuinely great about it. Anyway, we just like to annoy each other even if we're supposed to be an item. Another thing is I tend to discourage him whenever he wants to watch the latest with me only because I believe DC, for all its episodic charm, still has to be watched in proper order. Otherwise, you wouldn't see how well-rounded the characters have developed.

One of my friends and I always used to watch Case Closed when it aired on Adult Swim, often using our old VCRs to record it.  Then the next day we'd watch it and talk about it together.  I went on to buy a ton of the dvds, and I burn my friend copies and he watched them to death, but he was never a fan of watching anime in japanese with subtitles (just wasn't his thing), so I went on to watch more then 400 episodes, catching up to the current tv broadcast, while he sort of moved on.  He still largely enjoys it though :D

One of my other friends though, got me started on watching Naruto, and then Bleach, and then eventually One Piece (this was all over the course of like 3 years, of course).  I moved on from the first two though, of course,  ;) and now only watch One Piece of the three.  But anyways, I was bragging about how far I was in Conan to him and he remembered watching it on Adult Swim, so he finally decided to go and watch more of it about three weeks ago.  He still has a long ways to go, but he's getting there!  Around 160 I think he is...

So I watched it with one of my friends and got one of my other friends to watch it  :D

I still don't see how it could be as great as it seems, cuz it's pretty impossible to be a succesful ninja if you wear a bright orange tracksuit and talk a lot. ::)

I'm sure this has been said somewhere else before.

the fact that Naruto wears orange is a testament to how great of a ninja he is, he's just so good that he can afford to wear it and still beat everyone.

Actually, DC was my first manga/anime I ever liked. I was at a friend's house and the friend had "Case Closed" vol. 1-25. I asked what they were, and the friend explained they were Japanese comic books. I read the first one and I got hooked :D
For about a month, I was calling all the characters by their dub names. Thank goodness I found their original names on the internet, I like those so much better. :P

Not really... They got discouraged after doing research on the show, thus finding out that the show's been running half their lives.

Me??..
:P

Ahmm..
I have this two friends, (actually not friends, just classmates)..they lOve DC too..
Everytime they see me holding some manga/anything related to Conan, they always run to me & borrow it..(not the other one much ,she's also a fan of Sasuke)..

They always ask me what is the latest ep in DC or what is the ending, blah blah..
Because they only know the episodes aired in TV.. ;)

That's all..
