DCG is right actually. The only mystery here is how Conan solved this so quickly. This case actually has the potential to end in the next file

he knows that there's trouble, but that doesn't necessarily mean that he's solved the case already. The DCG wrote:Hasn't he already done so? Solved the case, that is? I mean, he told them to call the police and what-not... I vote the DB will save/solve themselves, since Aoyama seems to be making a point of knocking Conan out fast. So Conan goes to sleep/passes out from the fever, and either the DB finally believe him and call the police; OR they get into more trouble, but untrusting Ai has set something up to help, in that case.Dus wrote: I hope he's gonna get slapped. It's... the nose!Kor wrote: DCG is right actually. The only mystery here is how Conan solved this so quickly. This case actually has the potential to end in the next file :-X
And it's actually strange that they don't follow conans advice immediately :V Since they usually do.
Edit: Also just noticed. The boy has a Cleft chin, while the fake parents don't.

could explain it, but then one must question what the resolution is on Ai's phone camera, and how well Conan can see without his glasses.Kleene Onigiri wrote: Edit: Also just noticed. The boy has a Cleft chin, while the fake parents don't.

Possibly, but it's barely noticeable and Conan said that they weren't even blood-related, which he couldn't possibly deduce from just that.Kleene Onigiri wrote: Edit: Also just noticed. The boy has a Cleft chin, while the fake parents don't.
We don't make mistakes. We have happy accidents.

if he did notice the chin, that would explain the blood relation thing though. For the kid to have a cleft chin, one of the parents would have to have the gene, in which case they'd have the cleft chin, because it's dominant.Dus wrote:Possibly, but it's barely noticeable and Conan said that they weren't even blood-related, which he couldn't possibly deduce from just that.Kleene Onigiri wrote: Edit: Also just noticed. But I still think that would be too tiny to see.

Such a chin is actually very noticeable in the real world. Especially on a small child, since they have still a "baby face".Akonyl wrote:if he did notice the chin, that would explain the blood relation thing though. I guess Gosho didn't want to make it too noticeable, otherwise it would have been too easy.
And like ako said, it's genetic and dominant. So one of the parents should have it.
But it could mean that the boy was adopted too. Or just one of the parents is blood related while the other isn't
But I guess conan also noticed something from that conversation

On that one- he can see without the glasses fine, as they're just costume pieces, right? Chapter 2, page 17- puts on his dad's old glasses (then pops the lenses out) to help disguise himself, vis-Ã -vis Ran.Akonyl wrote: could explain it, but then one must question what the resolution is on Ai's phone camera, and how well Conan can see without his glasses.![]()
Undoubtedly, at the end of the case, when asked why, Conan will point out things like facial structure (quite possibly the cleft you noticed, great attention to detail) and body shape. Whether he could see them on a cellphone- eh- he's made deductions on less evidence than cellphone video, right?
And Ai has a great model that Asaga got for her. Records 720p or stills at 8mp, ;P
Edit: Although, looking at the chapter again, it's actually Mitsuhiko's phone, so replace 'Asaga' with 'Tsuburaya-san' and 'Ai' with 'Mitsuhiko.'

you're completely right about that, that's em having a brain fart, there. The DCG wrote: On that one- he can see without the glasses fine, as they're just costume pieces, right? Chapter 2, page 17- puts on his dad's old glasses (then pops the lenses out) to help disguise himself, vis-Ã -vis Ran.
But even so, considering Ai's distance I don't think a camera phone would've caught that, Agasa's or not.

Edit: Also, the nose is different too. He has the same nose as his real mother, which is pointy.
So the chin+the nose would tell you that they aren't blood related.

Maybe it's the eye colour? The boy seems to have light eyes and the criminals dark ones.

I actually voted for Subaru Okiya( cause I like him) but I hope this is not the case cause than this case is complete copycat from hide and seek case. I want Gisho to produce something comptetly new on this case.

Re: The Boy Who Cried Wolf: (FILE 759-76?) Vote For The Savi
The way I see it is this. If the kidnappers/Robbers did not let the DB in, then they ( the bad guys ) know that the wolf kid would be shown right. So they let them in. Also they ( the Bad guys) can not just add to their Hostage total as they saw the phone and might have hear Conan. Their hand are tied, and their best chance of escape is to play like all is normal. So the Db will enter and leave because otherwise they know the Police will be coming quick. The Db are not in danger because of this. This Plot should be about how the Kid is going to tell the DB about his mom. This case looks a little like the Folded Plane case. What is likely to happen is after the DB leave and tell Conan what happened while in the Wolf kids home, Conan will again tell the DB call the police and why.
