Akai (SPOILERS)

I have read the chapter right now and im shocked. I won't believe that, one of the coolest charas are dead for something like this.

I just realised something...I think the body found in Akai's car was actually Kusuda Rikumichi (the BO agent from the hospital). When conan was trying to determine which of the 3 patients was the BO member, he dropped his cellphone and Rikumichi touched it...So his fingerprints are on it...And he did commit sucide(shot in the head, like Akai), and the disposal of his body was never revealed...So i think it makes a lot of sense that it was him...Also, being a BO member, it makes sense that the police have no record of his fingerprints in any of their databases... I always thought it was too comfortable that a hand was left unburned and so the body could be identified...it was so that everyone (apart from the ones who know about the plan) are certain that it was Akai...it also fits the previous eps in which Akai and Conan didn't tell the 'Rena plan' to all FBI members so that they would think that the FBI really did lose and the enemy would be fooled as well.

about Akai escaping, remember that Rena mentioned that he came from the other way, and he parked next to the safety rail...just like with Camel, it makes sense that he did that in order to be able to escape...the 'accident nearby' that caused the police to be there quickly, forcing the BO members to make a quick escape and not verify everything, was also part of the plan...and Akai and Rena's final conversation also suggests that they had some sort of a plan...

if you watched the newest anime for the end of the arc, they really focus too on the fact that Shuuichi's hand is in his pocket (holding on to the detonator for the squib packs)

Akai has to still be alive.  He died far too easily for how his character had only just been established and Conan is being a little too trusting of Okiya for it to be anyone else.  Also, as Jodie outright stated in the anime, the Akai-Sherry plotline hasn't been resolved yet - We won't have an opportunity to see the PS on Akemi's text message unless he is still alive.  The presence of a second body pretty much solidifies it for me.

Though with that said, he is still the most expendable character.  I have a feeling that Gin will see to it that he is finished off properly.

Exactly my thaughts, plus when Rena turned her head to the police sirene ( and the camera on her necklace ) Akai could escape, and Rena could show them ( Gin and Vodka ) the body of Rikumichi ( switching from front seat to the back seat, you clearly can see that in the episode and the manga chapter ), as for the prints your corect, Akai touched another replica of that phone. The bomb was to burn the corpse, as for the hand on the pocket was clearly to make shure they could match the prints. As for the two shots, those were simply blanks. The blood was fake, probably a device they also use in movies, one behind his coat and one behind his hat. How he escaped from that cliff, probably in Rena's car, or like Sherlock Holmes..... Reichenbach falls = Reiha pass..... hehehe... that does make you think, doesn't it..

Yeah, been thinking this since the file came out. Gosho made it a bit too obvious, as he's done with a few major plot points as of late. Gotta wonder what he's thinkin' there.

Can we really expect the story to go back to normal?( I guess it could, considering Okiya is still involved for some-reason-or-other.)[/glow]

but i read stuff on other forums and they say that (omg i forgot his name) was it bourbon or osmething like that? that person who was in shinichi's house?
thye said that was him and becasue conan seemed to trust him or something like that...?

Something's bugging me about the Trust Arc in which Akai gets shot. His head is shown tilted to the left in the fourth page. But his head in the next page is shown straight forward. When your dead idk is it even possible to move your head? =p People might've already seen this before idk.

I don't know, I'm kind of skeptical about this ordeal myself as well. Although I would like to make a prediction on this, however, the whole thing is still kind of confusing to me yet to where I can't make a clear prediction. But once it gets towards the endgame, it'll probably get a little more clearer so I can probably make a prediction.

so his death mean that Gosho Aoyama is make a move to but end to the story.

if his death is fake that wil make the whole chapter about his death meanless and boring  that is what i see .

I think Mizunashi Rena Shooted Akai by empty bullet.

And I think Okiya Subaru who lives in Kudo's house is Akai.
