Okay...I have to know what's going on...Let's think about the real motives of the characters.

Why would Vermouth disguise herself as Akai Shuichi? My guess is that she wants to lure Jodie Starling into a trap. She could easily kill Jodie if she fooled her into thinking that she's Akai Shuichi.

Akai is alive and disguised as Okiya Subaru: Akai wants to survive the black org. and find Conan and Haibara to protect them and work with them to fight against it. If that's the case then the person disguised as Akai is definetely Vermouth.

Akai is Akai: He actually survived the shot somehow...and lost his memory.

Okiya Subaru is a member of the org.: What Gosho wants us to think. Okiya is member called Bourbon who is tracking down Haibara, and also wants to kill the real Akai.

Okiya Subaru is a real detective/CIA/FBI: He's fighting against the Black org., assigned to protect Haibara, and when he saw "Akai" he knows it's Vermouth and so he would warn the FBI and Jodie (his team) and they would capture Vermouth. Or if Akai really is Akai then Okiya will try and save him from Chianti's shot and  help him into recovery from his amnesia...The last guess is what I REALLY want to see. I love Akai and I wish he's alive but it seems far fetched...if this was all real, anyway.

To me, it says "oh god, look at that guy trying to act like me, he doesn't know how to do it at all... I would never wear a hat like that."

Because there is just soo much proof that Okiya is akai.

To end all the akai = vermouth theories.
Vermouth doesn`t have that much freedom. She has to at least contact Gin before fooling the whole BO into thinking that she`s Akai.

Gin`s reaction to killing the person (that is, or looks like akai) doesn`t seem like how he would act to a BO member.

Are you implying that the Gin with a gun to Kir's head is potentially Vermouth? That'd be an interesting twist. I'm hoping for a big reveal in the next 3 files.

on a serious Note... Maybe Okiya is Akai... since Kir is kinda hinted that Akai iIS alive... and since scar Akai shocked Conan, and Okiya doesn't then it's possible the real Akai is Okiya...

hey guys i just realise something so forgive me if i am slow but could vermouth be okiya i mean think about it she wasn't with gin and the others. vermouth is a master of disguise after all and is the only one that is is given  totally independenence from the BO
