I really don't think it's that surprising. Now, if the poll was only one choice instead, it would be a different story. But, because it's 5 choices, they're a lot more likely to pop up there, as pretty much everyone's cool with them, whereas there are people that are divided on stuff like who conan should be with, so there will be more people explicitly not voting for one of those.

Maybe Gosho-san has a fetish relating to drawing characters that are CHILDHOOD FRIENDS TURNED LOVERS XDDD (Ex: Magic Kaito, Detective Conan, Yaiba- they met when they were kinda young, since later he grew and swoops her away XDD)

Personally I don't believe it XDDD, because people gets bore eventually XD, but Aoyama must LOVE the idea to use it so much ^_^ and it is quite poetic ^_^

well they prolly are not leading because they arent really shown that much...only like once in the anime and once in an OVA....and no i am 100% sure haibara will never fall for him...*points gun at your head* XD

ewxactly . not to mention their personalities dont match up and it wouldnt make sense to put them together
