Excuse me?oO I´m not twisting anyone´s words.
(I don´t know about the other translations, but according to German volume 19 Kazuha thought Ran was "Kudo"
and accused her of hitting on Heiji (or anything "schöne Augen machen" can be interpretated as) while he was
in Tokyo- and that´s exactly what I said. So no twisting here.)
I was just joking actually , but this now actually brings up an issue. In the English translated version of vol.19, Kazuha never accuses Ran/Kudo of hitting on Heiji. Kazuha was just angry that Heiji would not stop talking about Kudo(most likely about cases) after his trip to Tokyo and assumed Kudo to be another female fan that Heiji took a liking too. After Heiji invites everyone to Osaka for a sightseeing trip, Kuzaha assumes that Ran is Kudo and that she's a Tokyo girl that plans of taking advantage of Heiji's liking of her and steps in as his "big sister".
The incident you might be referring to is later when Heiji and Kazuha take a trip to Tokyo and Ran is wearing the same shirt as Heiji. Here she actually acts cold towards Ran and later indirectly accuses her of hitting on Heiji in the car because she is going for the "couple's look" with Heiji.

No, I was talking about Kazuha´s first appearance.
As far as I remember, it went like this:
-Kazuha suddenly appears next to Ran
-"You are Kudo, right? Heiji talks a lot about you..."
-Ran: ?
-"Don´t try to fool me, you are that damned Kudo who hit on Heiji while he was in Tokyo!"
I guess "sich ranmachen" can be interpreted as "to hit on someone" since I can´t find something that would
fit better.
So... by Heiji talking much about that person, Kazuha assumed "Kudo" was a girl who showed interest in Heiji- and he appeared to somehow like her back?XD

Because she was going to shoot them anyway until Shin'ichi told her that without the silencer she'd draw attention from the police outside? Because the nickname “angelâ€

I wonder what Heiji was saying to make Kazuha think like that.. o_O" No yaoi, please.
No amount of apologies will express how much I regret it.

I guess she could have just heard him talking on the phone a lot to some person named Kudo about nothing in particular and got suspicious.

Most likely what happened(along with probably mentioning Kudo every time he was solving a case in Osaka) and as we have seen (3k's case) it doesn't take much to get Kazuha suspicious. She's also a lot more vocal when it comes to her suspicions of Heiji and another girl, which makes them a funny pair when they argue.

I don't really like a love theme much, but I do like the chemistry Conan and Ai share, it's different, it makes me want to see them talk to each other more. Not romantically though, for some reason, it seemed to me the bond they share is more than a romantic bond... Hmmm.... there's a word in Chinese that described it, I just don't know how to say it in English (Like saying two person who are not romantically involved with each other, but they can understand each other perfectly and sometimes mean more than just lover...)

just to shake things up, I vote RanxEisuke
It is more likely that Ran would become the man of the house if she were to end up with him.
Never judge a book by it's cover. You remember he didn't mind pulling out a weapon to stab his own sister and wake her up. He puts on that goofy boy roll.....
Besides, he's a cool guy. He's not like all the other guys in the series....he has a unique air about him. I like RanXEusike. He would treat her well.
But I like Ai/Conan not really romantically, but better than Shinichi/Ran's romance. It's dull to me.......Ai/Conan is the coolest friendship eva!
there's been like 40 topics about this, and its always the same for me.
Ai and Conan! Haibara is a much cooler and interesting character than Ran, plus shes much prettier! plus Conan and Ai have so much in common and so much chemistry, I can't see how people still like Ran and Shinichi after 500 eps of the same boring love story.

people have a weakness for the childhood friendship love story
i think you're right ,even if there is very few(like 1%) people who marry and finish their life with a childhood friend in reality it just sounds weird for me but for other people it's romantic

One of the reasons why you find in almost every manga a couple which base is the childhood friendship love story... the other one is cause it´s so easy to make it into the story, less work for the mangaka.^g^
I know ONE couple who knows eachother since they childs ( he did her pamper when she was a baby... he was 17 and she 1 year old^^") and they are happily married.^^
