as I've said before, how Ai will be voiced in the dub will determine if Funimation deserves to make money from this dub ever.
This isn't really a fair call as Megumi Hayashibara (only VA I actually know by name cause she's that good) has spoiled us with her role as Haibara. I would say that half of Haibara's "charm" comes from the voice and expecting funi to deliver a VA that can match Megumi in this department isn't just fair. The best we can hope for is that they DON'T use the english VA from that Wii? game  ;D.

They don't have the license to season 6.  Only seasons 1-5 and the movies.

Also, don't expect movies more than once per 6 months or per year.
they can license it after the sales for the third movie are in. and spend the time in between the 4 and 6 movies to dub season 6
we know they have finished dubbing movie 3 a month or two ago. I am guessing that movie 4 is done or will be soon. they just announced that they have it they have it, we don't know how long they have had the licensee to these movies. obviously the season sets did not bomb since they dubbed the third movie, made the trailer, and accidentally released it  before telling us that they would be releasing them. I think this means case closed/ conan is making money or close to money.

Unless you're talking about ADV's Lina, you're mistaken on multiple counts.
I ment the one dub where they pulled a secretary to voice Lina. Or maybe I'm just mixed-up? I do kinda hope it turns out better than the Slayers NEXT dub (my brother was watching it today, and I kept thinking "that's supposed to be Slayers, not Pokemon..." and "Rrgh, why can't he watch it in Japanese? He has the subtitles on anyway..."). Either way, it'll be good to have. Honestly I don't watch much of any anime in English anymore. There are very few dubs I can actually tollerate for any length of time. Off the top of my head, just Ranma and Kare Kano. Oh, and maybe SuperGALS! but that's more the content that makes it hard to handle than the voices. Overdose of genki.
I have finally started to actually publish my story! For the moment, expect a new chapter each month.

The Case of the Midnight Channel
"When a strange letter summons the Mouri family to Inaba, Ran is expecting a case. She's not expecting it to involve the TV, though.
If Naoto investigated everyone who came to visit Inaba, she'd have little time for real cases. When Yukiko reports that the Midnight Channel is back, however, she starts to wonder if the visitors are connected. Especially when the image clears, unveiling yet another mystery."

Short version: I'm taking various DC/MK characters to Inaba (where Persona 4 takes place) and dropping them through the TV to face their Shadows!

;D ;D ;D, that would be ...wow, if true. Hopefully it meant that the secretary had enough talent to be switched in Voice Acting than Funi not even caring anymore.

I don't know where this "secretary" business is coming from, and know even less where the idea that Funi did the dubbing for Slayers came from.  The only two companies that dubbed (released versions of) Slayers were Central Park Media and ADV.  ADV did the movies and OVAs, which sounded horrible.  Central Park Media did Slayers, Slayers Next, and Slayers Try.

As far as I can tell, Lisa Ortiz was never a secretary for Central Park Media, as she wasn't even associated with the company when she tried out for the position of a voice actress.  And considering the number of roles Cynthia Martinez was in, I doubt she was a secretary either.

Also, there's a reason a huge number of people were clamoring for the original cast to return for Slayers Revolution / Evolution-R.  And it wasn't just because they were fangirling over Crispin Freeman.

Which they did not dub, as they license rescued those from Central Park Media.  The first ones they themselves are dubbing are Revolution/Evolution-R.

we already know who is doing her voice. Eve from Black Cat.

She screwed up with a voice that didn't fit the character at all (despite being able to have a good voice for the character) but let's see if that wasn't just Europe being obsessed with European accents.

Although it could sorta make sense to give Ai a British accent..... Nah, actually it'd make more sense to give her a regular American accent (maybe even local---er, I mean New England) since she went to school in America. Any appearance of Hakuba in the dub REALLY better give him a British accent (half-Brit, has been in London with his mom up until his appearance in MK....)

The problem wasn't that she tried using a euro accent, it's that she used her "Georgy" voice from Crayon Shin-chan rather than her Eve voice.  In case you can't tell, Georgy is a boy, not girl.  >_>

Sorry, I haven't seen either of those anime, so I picked up on what I could recognize--the bit about accents. It would be cool to find someone in an anime who had a local (New England) accent....

Georgy:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8xxGOKivyA8
He pops up at about the 44 second mark.

Eve:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l1X-oVQkUbw
She doesn't really talk until 3:29, so might as well skip to there.
