Also, it's hard to draw someone on top covering her fully when you want to show who is underneath.

Also, it's hard to draw someone on top covering her fully when you want to make it clear that Ran is not molesting or kissing Haibara.
though the vest's been mentioned, I also have to point out that trunks aren't air-tight and you won't pass out if you're riding in one from lack of air.soratothamax wrote: Agreed. Ran always takes initiative. Though I think it is IRONIC that she was hiding in there the whole time....and not passing out from lack of air. Then again, how Conan survived that was IRONIC too. And where did Ran get a bullet-proof vest? Wait did she mention where? Forgot.
But gas fumes travel back there, and dehydration does kick in. I tried it once...I won't explain why.Akonyl wrote:though the vest's been mentioned, I also have to point out that trunks aren't air-tight and you won't pass out if you're riding in one from lack of air.soratothamax wrote: Agreed. Okay, I know why Gosho stuffed her in there, but the fact was she WAS stuffed in there, and it seemed completely out of place, random. It wasn't Ran's presence that was off-key, it was how he brought her into the scene that was off-key and completely felt forced. It didn't seem like she was meant to be there. It didn't seem to flow with the way the particular scene was going. To throw in AixRan's relationship in the middle of that scene, was random.User 4869 wrote:
Why Ran's here.
- It's a good way to explain the word "Angel" on the photo, Gosho probably think about this scene long age.
- Ai wasn't cold toward Ayumi or any DB (or open up long ago) but she cold toward Ran, by having Ran save her take their relation to the next step + charactor developement.
- Ai cold toward Ran in Desperate revival, she open her mind to Ran in Mystery in the net. She cold again in The Secret Hidden in the Bathroom just to warm again in Head to head match. (Haibara is hard to please) She try to protect Ran in Black impact and by listening to her Ran buy her place in Habara heart more. Now she refer to whatever Kudo want to do with Ran, fliting or even propose as "Act Cool".
This is the scene where I fall in love with Ran. by having her save my favorite charactor who I know will survive somehow anyway.
Gosho had me back there. I know who's Vermouth before I watch 345. I KNOW Ran save Haibara's life at some point in the series. And yet when Ran show up I shock as much as Vermouth
(Vermouth got Oh crap moment a lot in this episode, when Conan show up, when Ran show up, When Akai show up, when she discover the device under conan's shirt)
Wow, do you have to dog me out? you're commenting on the picture out of context. Besides, laying on someone isn't hard, you don't need bodyguard training for that. also, draw it from the side.Kleene Onigiri wrote:I don't remember ran taking a bodyguard training :xProfParanoia wrote:![]()

You have a very distinct and solid point. I was thinking of this when you posted. Do you have the link to this website?Wakarimashita wrote: One of the reasons I think we don't get a lot of BO (besides Gosho and his editors delaying the story) is because the Japanese fandom doesn't really seem to care about them. Despite being unpopular here, the DB appear a lot to attract the young audience (which probably didn't answer this poll), also Ai is usually with them to attract the other fans.
I don't have a link to the Doriru as I can't find it. But I took this poll (april 2003, the results may have changed a bit since then) from an article written by a french girl who lives in Japan and buys the magazine and the data books., so I think it's quite reliable.soratothamax wrote:You have a very distinct and solid point. Unfortunately, I guess the more BO the closer we are to the end. And that is a bitter-sweet thought. Plus, people like character interaction more than plot. I guess it gets too serious.
I guess I'm just personally anxious to see how it all pans out. I hope it's good too.

I know, I used to read your long posts concerning couples in the AiCon thread ! ;D I don't like fan wars either, I'm quite neutral concerning couples, a lit is fine, too much is annoying. I'm personally still following this manga for the mystery anyway.soratothamax wrote: @Wakarimashita
And I admit, when I first came in the beginning, I was the main feeder of coupling, though I originally watched DC for the mystery. Now I've given up on couplings because...well, they cause fan wars. And I hate fans wars. Giving a coupling opinion is like starting a WWIII.
Though I admit the only reason I liked Haibara in the first place is because I love the BO. I guess I'm a different fan than some in the polls. I love me some BO, all of the characters. They are inspirational for a BA syndicate.
But I get the feeling something about Okiya is coming up soon. They usually do Mouri case then Dboys case then Mouri Case then DBoys case, in that order. So hopefull, the next one is plot related.

Oh yea, and I hope something like Clash of Red and Black comes back. If we get some more Okiya coverage I'd be happy. Maybe Conan follows Okiya to a mysterious place or something...Wakarimashita wrote:I know, I used to read your long posts concerning couples in the AiCon thread !soratothamax wrote: @Wakarimashita

Same goes for me concerning the BO members, they are among my favorite, if not my favorite, characters.
I think we will get BO/FBI soon as well, the more or less direct confontations usually come out at that time of the year in the manga/anime, at least when they don't change the airing order (129, 176-178, 309-311, 345, 425, 462-465, Clash of Red and Black beginning, 563-564).
