1997/1998(6/7 years old)
here in Argentina, in 97/98 Conan was on TV !
but it only went to episode 70...
Ten years later, a friend told me Conan was still running and sent me a link with a list of all the chapters...
I couldn´t believe i wasted 10 years of my life without watching Conan T.T
from there,I re-started watching Conan
like 3 months ago,i finally caught up with the anime releases
not very long for me... my sister introduced the manga to me when I was 9, but I got so creeped out by the 2nd or 3rd volume so I stopped reading. xDD then in 2006 I randomly decided to try reading it again, and I got hooked right away (I was on a detective mystery binge at the time ). stopped following the series for a while because it got too long (around volume 50-ish) and came back to it this year. haha. Not exactly the loyal supporter like some of the people here! >_< *gets whacked*
"Shh! Celebrate after the curtain of this bloody stage closes."
Hmmm... let me see... when I was around 13-15, I remember trying to get home early every Friday to try to watch DC. I wasn't allowed to watch TV during Mon-Thurs so I didn't get to watch DC much at that time. And I didn't know that I could read manga online either.(Wow, I was naive back then.... XD)
Then watch the anime series up to episode 180 (out of funds to buy DVDs) then switch to reading the manga up to the latest chapter.
So basically, around 5-9 years.

My memory of Conan is fuzzy at best, I do remember watching the early episodes on TV. I also remember watching "The Last Wizard of the Century" in theaters. I was fangirling the whole time while my brother tried to smother me with a baseball hat so I'll shut up (he never came with me out to watch movies after that, I wonder why?)
When I moved I stopped reading/watching Conan completely. I restarted a year ago.
It's wierd now that I think about it I love Yaiba and Magic Kaitou this whole time but I never read DC xD. I guess it's because it's so long.
Hey, I have an idea, let's have a THIS SUCKS / NO THIS SUCKS / NO YOU / NO YOU argument for a couple pages, that will really be great. - Ingmar

I first saw the series when it popped up dubbed on adult swim on cartoon network (no clue when that was), then a few months back I decided to download the series, finished watching it a week-ish ago
so really not that long at all
It's the exact same way for me. Watched it on Adult Swim, then around November of last year found out the episodes were DVD. Since I was tired of waiting for new episodes, I've been watching the fansub episodes ever since.
Actually, I've been pretty much watching it for my entire life, because it became an anime series about a week after I was born, and I can still remember seeing bits of the second movie from someplace... But I really started following it in about 4th grade... about 4 years from now...
About a year and a half ago.. it was school break.
I kept watching the first 95 episodes over and over again. Then I realized I just couldn't get enough.
I devoured the rest of the episodes and before I knew it, I caught up and was totally hooked.
I finally turned to manga.
I saw the first episode back when it started on Adult Swim, I watched it when I could, but the late night airings made that hard. Then I bought the dvds and was sad when they stopped releasing them. (New ones that is) So I looked online to see if the series just stopped at 82 and that's when I discovered CC=DC, and I watched a lot of the hour long specials and the movies, and have since watched almost every subbed episode.
I don't remember how long ago, but it might have been 3-4 years. I picked up the manga (one of the first few issues) in a bookstore that was going out of business for a buck and figured if I didn't like it, I could at least I wasn't wasting much money. Needless to say I was hooked and went out and bought all the others. Then I went crazy online trying to find any more, and saw I was hundreds of issues behind when I found this site. I caught myself up way too fast and now am anxiously awaiting each release like the rest of you
