"I only saw three people! There's still Kazuha nee-chan!" cried Conan.

"EH?! Kazuha? You mean the daughter of Toyama-keiji?!?!" exclaimed Tagaki.

"Mm! I'm going in to find her!"

"Oh... Huh?! Wait!! NO!! G-get back here!" said the officer frantically.

"Why?"

"Umm... It's dark, and... you can't go in there alone, I mean, you're still young... and..." began Tagaki.

"Then you can come with me!" smiled Conan.

Conan turned on his flashlight-watch and went into the closest room, Tagaki following close by.

Conan walked towards where Tagaki had ran off to. Kazuha was lying there, rubbing her head. But. Her ears were... a little on the furry side. Not to mention the tail that snaked ount from under her T-shirt.

"K-K-Kazuha nee-chan...?!?!" yelped Conan.

"Uh.. Ah!" Kazuha clamped her hands on her mouth.

"Let's... get outside..." sighed Tagaki.

The cameras were gone. So were the police.

"Good," muttered Kazuha. "Then no one will know except Heiji and Ran-chan! Nyaa~"

Tagaki coughed.

"Oh... whoops!" giggled Kazuha.

As they headed towards a bus stop, they heard a very familiar voice with a Kansei-ben.

Guess who?

"Heiji!" cried Kazuha.

"Kazuha..." panted Heiji. He stared at her ears. "Wha....?!?!"

"Are they cute?" said Kazuha playfully.

"Sigh... I suppose..." said Heiji, raising an eyebrow. He scratched his face and looked away.

"He's blushing..." said Conan under his breath. He smiled and shook his head.

Kaito landed on the roof of his house.

"WOO! That was FUN!" he laughed.

"Gee, never thought I'd see you here, Kuroba-kun," said a voice.

Kaito snorted. "Yeah, right. You should know; I thought you were a witch...?"

"Ah, right. Maybe I DID predict it in a way..." smiled Akako slyly. She sidled over to Kaito. "Guess you don't need that hanglider anymore."

"Yeeeeeah. As if. I'm not even Kid."

"Oh yeah?"

"Oh yeah."

Akako smirked. She pulled on Kaito's arm. "Come on. She's worried sick, Nakamori-chan... And your mother has sooo much to ask you~ Hakuba too~"

Kaito rolled his eyes. Here was a peaceful moment of freedom on a roof - ruined. Obviously.

Then again, he did want to see Aoko. To tell her that he was okay. She's a worrywart, and would not get to sleep peacefully if she didn't know that Kaito made it back home safely.

As they went down to his room, the doorbell rang.

"Uh, hello? Is this the Kuroba residence?"

"Yes..." said Kaito's mother. "Why?"

"Cake," was the single-word answer.

"Cake?"

The door swung open, and a young girl walked in. She held a cake box in one hand and a little not-boy's hand in the other.

*cough* Well. What a surprise.

"Ah, why are you- are you Kaito's classmate?" asked Kaito's mother as she led them into the house.

"No..."

She looked over the girl. "Hmm... You look a bit like Aoko-chan, do you?"

"Who?" asked the girl, cocking her head to one side. She was amused.

"Ah, nobody... Why are you giving us cake?"

"Well..." started the girl. She paused. "Uh..." The girl turned to the young not-boy. "Conan-kun here said that he saw your... son fly..."

"Eh? Kaito? Fly?" asked Kaito's mother in shock.

"Mn!" siad the you- Conan.

"...And he wanted to meet him! We can't just barge into your house, so I brought the cake. Do you like tiramisu?" countinued the gir- Ran.

"Oh! Well, yes." smiled Kaito's mother.

"Ka-i-to!" said Aoko slowly.

"What?"

Aoko took a deep breath...

"YOU BAKA!!!!!!" she screamed.  "How could you have DONE THAT?!?!?! Now the whole WORLD knows!!!!!!!"

"So?"

At this moment, Conan walked in.

"Eh?"

Kaito stared at the young not-boy. "Tantei-kun..." he smirked. "Looks like we meet again..."

Conan returned the stare. "Wings!!!! Holy-"

He cursed in his mind and prayed that he didn't say it out loud.

"O-oni-san..." he said. "Are those... wings?"

Yeah," replied Kaito happily. He was getting used to the attention.

"Wow! Can I take a closer look?"

"Sure." Kaito turned around and knelt down for Conan to see.

Conan walked up to him and felt the wings.

They were soft, like velvet, yet powerful, as Conan found out when Kaito flapped his wings in amusement. They were so real...

No. They WERE real. Conan touched the small joint that linked the wings to Kaito's body gently and marvelled at the skin and feathers that wrapped themselves around the joint.

"Sugoi..." he whispered in awe.

Aoko shook her head and left.

Conan, on the other hand didn't move at the sound of Ran calling his downstairs for cake. He probed around the wing until Kaito told him to stop.

"No... This can't be right... This... should be impossible!" he muttered to himself.

"And yet..."
