What are your favorite filler cases?

Post by Brekclub85 »

IE: ones that had no effect on the main plot, like most AOs, and some of the stories based off the books.

Some of mine are: The movie theater case from volume 23, the spider mansion case from volume 25, the Torn Friendship case from Volume 39, and the Without Protest case from volume 45.

What about you guys?

the spider one has some fun character development, the Torn Friendship one mentions Haibara's father and the Without Protest one I believe is the one with the baseball player, and that eventually leads to the BO's phone number thing.

So your favorite filler is the movie theater one.  ;D

Mine is still either the Detective Boys Disaster Case, the Beika's Grenier or the Exploding Car case.

Without a DOUBT... #175. This is with the stage actor who had  3 people admit to murdering him. I just think it is the FUNNIEST episode.Shiratori is hilarious and on point, and Conan's/Kogoro's deduction is filled with great subtle jokes. This episode is filled with good one-liners.

Haha! Yeah. I bet it would've been easier for him to notice if the code was in English because it's not as obvious in katakana.

In all my life of watching DC, I've rarely cried - or rather, I don't cry that much anymore. It was probably either due to being used to the sorrow nature of the show, or it is because the recent episodes are not as touching. :P

Regardless, I've always loved those that made me cry, as I feel I connect to them a lot more, feel what the characters are going through, etc. One of them would be Episode 37: The Cactus Flower Murder Case. Noriko's tragedy was average, but the song that accompanied the episode as she's driving to kill those hit-and-runs, remembering her past with her boyfriend was just simply beautiful. I couldn't stop feeling sorry for her and her love.

Another one was 122: The Locked Bathroom Murder Case (Part 2). The culprit (Zendai-san, I think?) was indeed cruel in murdering Mina, but the way they depicted Zendai-san crying was greatly realistic. Add that with the fact that such a beautiful friendship was ruined out of simple jealousy, it was indeed agonizing to watch Zendai-san screaming out to Mina.

That was so sad.

Yeah... The "washing the face hint" should have been obvious to Conan.
