If these spoilers turn out to be real, that line about a series of arson cases reminds me of this page.

Arson is a strange bait; who is the syndicate trying to catch with that? Neither Conan nor the FBI have interfered with an arson case connected with the org unless you count the fire that Conan and Pisco started at the hotel.
The other recent arson cases are Fuurinkazan (613-618) (technically not an arson but the perps intended to start one), the red, yellow, white case where Okiya gets introduced (622-624), and the Rolls-Royce static electricity case (635-637).

Arson always reminds me of Inspector Yuminaga from the 1st division arson squad. I wonder if he is tied in to any of this. If the serial arson is the work of the B.O., he would probably be investigating the cases as part of his work. He could be a target if he got wind of something or the fire incompletely destroyed evidence. Also, he could be Bourbon because he could start fires and then spy on whoever else is investigating. (Who would expect an arson officer to be a fire-bug?) However, Yuminaga seems like a nice guy and he was formerly Mouri's supervisor when Kogoro dabbled in the arson division (see chap 394 page 8 ). Also, his body type would make it difficult for him to disguise as Akai in the bank (assuming Fake-Akai was Bourbon and not Vermouth), but the only rule of DC disguise seems to be that adults can't disguise as kids due to blatant body mass differences.

It could also be that the arsons don't have anything to do with the B.O. The arsons could be a side case like the jewel robbers in the dark footprint arc or the Shiranpuri murder during Red vs. Black.

Kogoro was in the "arson" department, I wonder IF the spoiler is true then this may be a connection his previous arson cases. That could lure Kogoro (plus Conan) away from Sherry, who would be targeted... Not bad, not bad.

This is getting reallllly interesting.

I won't be surprised if the Akai-look-alike, with a burnt mark, is Bourbon. The real Akai would be quite alarmed indeed.

  The bad guys would almost win in that one, but I bet Okiya would have something up his sleeve. Looking forward to File 700!!
