I had a difficulty deciding if Yuusaku or Shinichi is smarter, since Yuusaku appeared to be smarter in the manga.
But I think, if in term of comparison by age, Shinichi will be smarter. So my vote goes to Shinichi.

Though I wanted to vote for Kaitou Kid or Shinichi I had to say Yuusaku, since everytime he appears he's a spet forward than Shinichi, that show his expertice in cases and also his skills as a writer

i forgot to mention something, there is someone that is smarter than anyone else in this show,

need time to think, no .. was its name listed, no ...

it's Sonoko !

although her luck is dead, she is extremely smart to make things in odds to
meet her interests, but her luck make all of her brute attempts fail !!
