an alternate ConAi ending.

it would be great if he did that!!!but i have the feeling that he won't(even after all the files,the episodes and the live action there are with coai scenes what a waste!)

I honestly don't know what to think. All I know is that ShinRan is pretty much set in stone, as it is for every other archetypal romance.

And Aicon is something you don´t find in every second manga... Ranichi is set in granit not only stome. 

I still think that although CoAi is near impossible, it IS the second best couple. (first couple: SatouXTagaki ) So... Gosho-sensei will work it out somehow, so that ShinRanAi can become reality!

ShinRanAi? Wouldn´t ShinRanShiho be better since Shiho is Ai´s true form? Also it would be more fair cause a sexy teenager vs a little girl is always decided from the beginning of the contest.
Talking about fairness... Shinichi loves Ran so it´s decided anyway, the only straw of hope is, that he falls also in love with Shiho the first time he really see her.
Then it would be a year long love vs a new found love.... Okay, now i´m going overboard...

Why should he? He´s the Mangaka, he can do whatever he wants with DC. The fans have to accept it then or going to leave the ship.^g^
But i also find it a waste when Conan/Shinichi never finds out that Ai/Shiho loves him. Who knows? Maybe it will be a side-topic in the new BO-Arc?
Cause in an interview Gosho said something about Haibara playing a big role in the next arc he´s writing on, that was before three years, but they wasn´t any real big role for Ai in this time, right?

WHAT!!! :ogosho said that 3years before?we haven't  seen ai's playing a big role during the last bo arc(with kir and eisuke)so i hope she will have a big role during tis arc with boubon and akai(she's the  target of bourbon,so...)
concerning the two endings(one with ai and one with ran)i thing it won't happen just because there is not many mangaka who did that ,and gosho still a classical mangaka who will make the stereotypical happy ending that he planned to do(but who knows)

As much as I like the whole Conan x Ai pair, I still couldn't see it happening in canon.  Shinichi is too hung up over Ran for that.  i just don't see what Gosho could write to cause Shinichi's feelings to change so dramatically that he'd just fall out of love with Ran and fall in love with Shiho.

Unless an antidote isn't found, then maybe I could see Conan and Ai growing closer and, eventually, hooking up when older, and even then, I couldn't see that either.

I still wonder what'll happen later on since neither Conan nor Ai are "real people", if it does turn out that they'll have to grow up all over again.

Considering Yusaku and Yukiko are already involved it's possible for Conan to have all that required information. Yusaku did say he had  friends in big organizations such as Interpol, so maybe he used his friends to add him to the "system". Actually now that I think about it, it's really likely that Yusaku did do this as Jodie being FBI would of ran a check on Conan when she was suspicious of him and if nothing came back the story would probably developed differently.

To get back on topic, I always assumed that if Conan keep true to his promise of not being able to turn back to normal he would remove Shinichi from Ran's life(which would open Ai&Conan) but OVA9(not canon) showed a different outcome. One where

the Ai and Conan relationship doesn't look so great as Ai seems indifferent about Conan's well being and doesn't question that he's throwing her around like a doll(possibly a failed confession). Then there's the fact that Shinichi is still obsess over Ran and Ran decides "hey I waited 10yrs, what's another ten right? psssh who needs to marry a doctor who's actually been supportive of me the last 10yrs, right?" will refusing to believe Conan when he claims to be Shinichi. It's an outcome that doesn't make much sense when taken canon and driven by Conan's hallucinations..but still possible.

hmmm....ova 9 was just useless and senseless for me    so i don't take it as a possibility for an ending!
i hope that  gosho will make a good ending without breaking the heart of my lovely ai chan or ran's heart!he should clear the things between ai and conan without being forced to separate them and without making ran sad and alone


there's so many conai  fan that he can't just let her stay as a child, like some people want!!! he has to finish the work he did with coai relationship, one way or another!!!

That's a hard order to fill without using a clone or some time travel . If Gosho really doesn't want to pick a side, the best thing he could do is creative an ending that neither side is fully happy with, when you do that, it means you've done "the right thing".
So something like Conan beats the B.O. but as a result of the final confrontation stays a child with permanent amnesia and actually believes he is a child making the Ai & Conan + Shinichi & Ran impossible. evil  .

There's always a way for Gosho to end the manga without siding into any pairing..

Let say Gosho made Haibara confess / Conan somehow realize her feeling..
Then a cliffhanger for their relationship as the story progress and ended..
Later then Shiho show up, raising a "war" flag to Ran, leaving Shinichi completely confused / blushing, and the story ended just like that..

That's what i call an "open" ending
