And I don't think there's anything wrong with the shape of Conan's glasses.

Check it out:Schillok wrote: First: The children "trapped" in the building.
When the DB (excluding Conan) noticed the shutters were closed - why did they not just open a window? They look like the sliding ones, and even in case they could not be opened they could have just tried to break it. The sound might have attracted the kidnappers, but they were on their heels at that time anyway. Plus, it had the chance of attracting help from the outside...
*shrugs* I don't know... they clearly have a phone in their hands, but apparently being freaked out is more funDus wrote: And why didn't they just text the police or anything?

Texting the police would be the same as calling the police... There would be police officers and/or sirens... If they took the kidnappers' threat seriously enough that they wouldn't call the police, they wouldn't text them either.Dus wrote: And why didn't they just text the police or anything?
Informing Satou about the situation still beats their plan: Hiding in a locker.Abs. wrote:Texting the police would be the same as calling the police... There would be police officers and/or sirens... I was going to write something about "How the hell do you text the police" but then remembered that Mitsuhiko had at least Satou's mobile phone number (since he offered it to Shiratori that one time)...

Of course I checked beforehand to make sure I didn't tell nonsense. The page showing the windows was in chapter 2:Abs. wrote:Check it out:Schillok wrote: First: The children "trapped" in the building.

Yea, I felt that was pointless too. Like all he had to do was text Detective Takagi or call him real quick. And instead of Ai making a plan to hide, she should've made a plan to find a way to call the police. For instance, tell the DBoys to hide and text Takagi or someone they knew, even if it wasn't the police. They could've text anyone for help who would call the police. They probably were afraid of calling the police and afraid their friends would be killed if they did. But they could've explained that situation to the police, especially if Haibara had commanded them to do so. Instead she made a dumb plan that ended up backfiring. And Conan was dumber than normal too.ssjup81 wrote: This case would've been solved faster if Conan wouldn't have stayed there, explaining how there was obviously a third person there being held captive. They should've left and then they would've been able to call the police as opposed to getting overheard and caught by the two kidnappers. I don't usually say this regarding the series, but that was such a stupid move on both Conan and Ai's parts. They should've gotten the DBs out and then discussed their theories. Of course, if they hadn't, the case wouldn't have been as interesting and of course, that certain someone showing up wouldn't have shown up, so that's a plus. ^_^
I agree with you, there were many stupid things in this chapter...soratothamax wrote:Yea, I felt that was pointless too. Like all he had to do was text Detective Takagi or call him real quick. It was just as bad as the last case. Then again, what would I have done in that situation?
True, true. It wasn't as bad. There were funny moments, and it wasn't the repetitive 3 murders one suspect thing. And more Okiya. I hope to see more of him from now on. I'm putting my foot down.AICHAN wrote:I agree with you, there were many stupid things in this chapter...soratothamax wrote:Yea, I felt that was pointless too. Maybe this case was just an excuse to see Okiya(after 1 year without seeing him)
in my opinion this case wasn't that bad, because:
- it wasn't a traditional murder with 3 suspects
- some moments were funny (Haibara acting like a little girl,Conan kicking himself with the ball ;D)
- Okiya finally appearsand now that he saw Conan without glasses,he can easily find that Conan=Shinichi ;)
so I think this case was better than many recent cases(better than London serie which was boring for me ::))
Half the SD forumsoratothamax wrote: And hey, who would've guessed Agasa was the old man trapped in the locker? XD
The London case was fine. Deciphering Hades' code was a lot of fun and was one a few written codes that did not involve mind munching Japenese wordplay. It was also pretty clever. I know you don't like ShinRan, but don't knock a good mystery for only that reason.soratothamax wrote: London Case was horrifying. How can you pass that off as a legit case? London should have been way better than that.
