Lot's of reasons. My mother doesn't want one, I don't have the money, I don't have the stability to have one. I think that getting animals is something one should only do if they are sure that they can take care of it well. So being unemployed and not knowing how long I will live at one place doesn't seem like a good situation to get a pet.

I don't think moving should be a big issue, as long as you find a place where you can have pets D:
