At least you can see where Masashi Kishimoto is going with the Naruto/Sasuke spit, even if he does Sasuke's part horrible.... it is a means to make the final showdown between the two rivals as decendants of Uchiha and Senju. There is a very obvious path for having him stay incompetent. Sakura seems to develop, but just throws it all away in one frame.
