Today's happy events ^^

Saw some clips from Jon Stewart/Stephen Colbert's "Rally to Restore Sanity and/or Fear" and was greatly uplifted. Probably the best was some of the signs I saw people carrying: stuff like "We should do this again" and "I am not afraid of jews, muslims, immigrants, racists, communists or nazis... but I am afraid of spiders!" and "I already regret deciding to carry this around all day" and "HITLER is HITLER!". I really loved one where I saw a Muslim guy carrying a sign saying "am I acting suspicious?" and another saying "Christian, Muslim, Jewish, Pastafarian- we can all jump rope!" and the guy holding it was indeed standing next to a diverse group of people having a game of skipping ropes. It was wonderful, wish I could have been there (curse the Atlantic Ocean!) ♥

Basically it was taking the pish out of all the talking heads on American TV who compare everyone they dislike to Hitler. It's very pointedly saying that only Hitler was Hitler, and for the rest, you've got to have an actual reason for disliking them.

On Friday I didn't do my homework and got a detention. I "forgot" about it. Today, I sat out for the entire class unsupervised. I forgot the answers were in the back of the book and wasted 50 minutes trying to understand math. I stayed after school today for LA and math. Once I finished my LA and detention, I went to hand in my LA work. Now the happy part: I got candy from the teacher! Totally worth it. (it's not really candy, it's actually the physical form of bragging rights)

Yeah, you should have remembered about the answers being in the back. I just copied those down then spent another 20 minutes reading so that the teacher would believe I actually did them. And I WANT YOUR SWEDISH BERRIES!!!!
