File 696: Ran & Sonoko Buying What Kind Of Clothes

When Ran and Sonoko going to washroom to change their dirty clothes into the clothes they just bought. You see Ran and Sonoko is anxious when they are ready to change, Ran tells Conan and Kogoro not to laugh when they see their changed clothes.

Gothic Lolita styles clothes won't make Kogoro laugh since he thinks that it would look like a witch.

If it is sexy clothes, Sonoko definitely buy that, no way Ran will buy it. Remember Ran is wearing panda pajamas, due to Ran's childish behavior, it is probably the clothes with funny picture or cute one.

No matter what, Ran will probably try out after the case, will Conan and Kogoro laugh for Ran's new clothes.

They're in Harajuku, so chances are the clothes they bought are loli. Except of course that those ARE expensive...I dunno.
Certainly the location is the reason that there are so many people around dressed in loli outfits.

It would appear this case is "a how done it" style case. We seem to have been getting quite a few of those lately. I think I'll wait for a translation before I speculate...

These comments are late considering next chapter raws are out already (presumably) but...

So some of the questions regarding how this murder was accomplished seem to be: one, how did the murderer know the victim would go to the bathroom; two, how did the murderer strangle her without anyone noticing; and three, how did the murderer lock the bathroom stall from the outside or escape from the locked stall otherwise, without anybody noticing?  Given the seeming busy-ness/crowdedness of the bathroom, the latter two become more difficult.

I think the Goth Loli thing probably had something to do with making sure the victim went to the bathroom.  Gonna just wait for the next chapter before making any comments on the other obstacles, though.

btw, Chekhov macGuffin, I do want to spoil myself regarding Ran and Sonoko's outfits, but your link seems to be broken.  Unfortunate.

lol yeah i was disappointed by the broken link too

i kind of have a feeling that the goth loli we saw is the same person as the 'friend' that entered later... maybe the real goth loli was murdered much earlier (when the bathroom was less crowded.....? lol i dunno) and the friend entered the shop in the same costume so she'll have witnesses and create the illusion that the goth loli was murdered at that particular time..?
