I guess Conan just doesn't wanna risk the FBI being detected while trying to locate the BO's boss. Because in that case the BO would know about the FBI somehow finding out the E-mail address.

It is certainly good to know the Boss' phonenumber, but only the Japanese police ( I think) is allowed to get the name and address of its owner.

While Conan says that he trusts the FBI, he is, as it was proven, very cautios. It seems like he withheld some information from them such as his true identity, or his findings about Itakura, his meeting with Akemi etc. etc.

One of the reasons is to be a vital part of the investigation, when you have infos what others don't then you are part of the puzzle itself, on the other hand even the FBI can mess up situations, they might misuse the information for other purposes now or later. I think Conan thinks it is good if tehy only know what they should know, nothing extra.

Kinda like Haibara does.

The Japan Police might not know about the Bo as Organization but if the BO is involved in any of the 'unsolved' cases, then The police knows that someone out there still committed those crimes, and while maybe on the 'back burner', they do know what ever their investigations showed them.

The FBI and the CIA have somehow found out about their existence. Just because we don't know how doesn't mean the Japanese police haven't found out the same way, or even somehow different. Could also be that Japanese intelligence gets involved, who knows?

i've always thought that the BO had already infiltrated the Jap police, that's why they're not taking actions (if they do know the existence of the BO)

Maybe the Jap police already has someone undercover in the BO, due to their secrecy none of the characters we know is involved and therefor none of them knows about it.

While you might say this:

A possible non Canon example: Movie 5: The damage done by the BO. That is a trace that someone blow up those floors and destroyed the computer room. If they look for it they can find out a lot about what kind of bombs, who made them commercial and possibly who bought the materials. They are Police and That is called Detective Work.

Non-canon is not an argument. On the contraray, just look at manga Akemi killing. They left no trace at all. Only Conan knew about them.

Jodie's father investigated Vermouth, meaning theFBI already knew that she is in some sort of an organization. Since Vermouth is American it is natural for the FBI to investigate her. Jodie's father dies ca. 20 years ago (lazy to look up exactly), this means that the FBI went after the BO or at least Vermouth since then. The CIA also investigated on this matter, likely because they found out that the Bo is not just an American thing, but it works in Japan as well.

police don't even know BO exist.
FBI and CIA are working illegally in Japan.
they can't do it.
but, if they do try, it will be way easier to beat them.

Ok a Manga Example this time.  The train case ( anime 5, manga 33 - 35 ). Yes the anime changed them to someone else.
This is the point a BOMB went off. Why would the Police not investigate that?

Also The game Bomb. In the Manga 115 page Conan has in hand a shoe of the man in black after another explosion
when they were covering their tracks another. they blow up a bar and from the manga text, there is no question the Police know it was a bomb.

Also Bullets in the roof in the case with Bisik. (Ai temp return to normal), The Dead Body of Bisik, and his burned house.

Do you need more clues? The Police know of the BO as terrorist.

I'm sure they do investigate it.  But then I really doubt they'll come to the conclusion that it's all the work of a international secret crime organisation bend of achieving imortality and smuggle in guns and bombs in to Japan in their spare time.  I don't think the B.O. will leave lose ends like that anyways.
Hey, I have an idea, let's have a THIS SUCKS / NO THIS SUCKS / NO YOU / NO YOU argument for a couple pages, that will really be great. - Ingmar
