Re: Shinichi stop hiding from BO ?
It could be any Sinichi Kudo though. Gosho has already introduced more than one into the story, granted, the other is dead, but it's not like "our" Sinichi is the only one around.xpon wrote:But he is taking an Unnecessary risk just to fulfil his EGO to go to Holmes country!Chekhov MacGuffin wrote: Maybe Shinichi thought they wouldn't bother with hacking and constantly monitoring the airline's database for people they reconfirmed as dead? And please remember that the record will stay there! so when ever the BO or some organization want to check About Shinichi Kudo.. it will show!.
the record of passing person in immigration department is a crucial evidence in tracking international fugitives

and please remember that Shinichi Kudo is not a mere person. he is a famous High-School Detective who called as the savior of police department!...
this is special case!
and this will contradict to your thread in here

Re: Shinichi being a fool & some FBI related discussion
To catch up...
1) Yes, Gin has said many times that he doesn't remember the faces of people he has killed... HOWEVER! He also seemed very interested when the idea arose that someone survived one of his killings. There is a good chance either he or Bourbon looked into Shinichi's death. Meaning they would have found out that Sherry pronounced him dead, and she abandoned the org. So as Ai has expressed in the past, they may already be aware of the possibility that he is still alive, which is why she is so paranoid about him taking unnecessary risks.
2) Yuusaku and Yukiko seem to keep tabs on him through Ai and Agasa, as well as Yuusaku's connections as well... So it is not strange they know what he is up to.
3) Airports have stepped up security in the last 10 years, I'm sure Gosho took that in to account. Passports use individualizing ID numbers that are connected to a single person, as well as picture and name. If the Black Org has connections to airports, there is no way they don't know that Shinichi is alive anymore.

Still, you would think they would at least send someone to check up on the information. To let something like that go...don't know. Wouldn't someone from the BO be working at the airport or something? You would think they have more connections than that. If they don't, the BO is a waste of criminal space. Though in my opinion, Shinichi isn't important enough to the BO for them to go chasing him (just yet). Now if Shiho had boarded that plane, Gin would've been in the row behind her.kyuuketsuki wrote:
2) The assumption that things can be faked... Here is a fun one... Let's say that they DO find out that a person named Kudo Shinichi boarded a plane, and all the credentials match those of the person supposed to be deceased... That alone is not enough to confirm that he is alive. I could easily see that the FBI would come out and say that was a hoax to draw out members of the Org to bring them down. It is NOT that hard to fake things if you have the right resources, the FBI would certainly have such resources, and looking at Shinichi's parents could be brought in as well... With Yuusaku's connections, and Yukiko's skills at disguise, I'm sure that they could come to the conclusion that it is a ruse to draw them out to avenge their son. Downside to that? they would be targeted, but having a master of disguise, and someone with great resources would make them difficult prey to track down. The Black Org would sooner go after friends and relatives of the Kudo's than the Kudo's themselves...
Again, another reason to find fault with this arc.
I don't think Shinichi SHOULD hide anymore. It's getting more and more pointless. I think Ai wants Shinichi to hide, so he won't bring any special attention to her, who is using him as a shield. He isn't telling Ran so she won't panic and then try to take matters into her own hands (as she's been known to take initiative). But he's ot very good at keeping a low profile and simply telling everyone in a room (Desperate Revival) not to tell anyone about that scene is ridiculous. When some amazing, famous, and popular detective shows up to solve a hard-to-solve case, and then passes out, do you really think everyone in the room would not say anything? hat was stupid to ask for it. It was too late. Yet, the BO didn't find him. So it isn't surprising that he was able to board an international plane, with shades o, and not get caught at the airport, on the plane, or in London.xpon wrote: oh the 2 mystery ...

Still, I wish Gosho had been a little more creative with the arc and HAD put the BO in there....

Re: Shinichi being a fool & some FBI related discussion
I totally agree. To the BO (except for Vermouth), Kudo Shinichi is some random high school detective that may be alive or may not be. There's no evidence to them that he's been investigating them let alone working with the FBI to take them down. But, if they ever find out that Conan=Shinichi, then they could figure out that he's been using Kogoro as a front and that he is a serious threat (especially if they think that Kogoro is related to FBI). But for Shiho, she knows a lot of their secrets so she's probably near the top of the 'To Kill' list and so is more likely to watch out for her at airports.soratothamax wrote:Still, you would think they would at least send someone to check up on the information. I think Shinichi should still hide from the general population just so that BO won't find out about Ai and Conan. But, I don't think there's really a point in hiding from Ran anymore. The point of lying to Ran was that she wouldn't get hurt/targeted if she knew and now, she's going to be targeted whether she knows or not. Isn't it better for her to know what to watch out for? Or do you think that her peace of mind is worth more than her being more vigilant?soratothamax wrote:I don't think Shinichi SHOULD hide anymore. It's getting more and more pointless. Re: Shinichi being a fool & some FBI related discussion
actually, I just thought of something. is it possible that, after all this time, Gin/Vodka/the BO in general would have forgotten Shinichi's name? I mean:
1. It's apparently a pretty common name (Conan already encountered another Kudo Shinichi in Tokyo, there could be others and a lot more in the whole of Japan). If not common, then at least not very unique (unlike Edogawa Conan, lol).
2. BO hasn't exactly assessed Shinichi as a high threat, at least as far as we know.
3. There hasn't been any public mention of Kudo Shinichi the High School Detective for some time
4. Gin and Vodka met Shinichi in File 1. We're at File 756. Even though DC world has a time warp, we can assume that there has been some significant lapse of time.
Even if Shinichi's name is in the BO's records, due to the above factors I don't think it's a name that would attract the BO's attention so quickly anymore. At least not the regular BO personnel. Perhaps only one person would notice... the one that's been likened to Holmes?

Gin also said that he never remembers his victims' names. But there are records that have the name Shinichi Kudo on it.

Re: Shinichi being a fool & some FBI related discussion
Right, but I agree with Caribou's posts in spirit. Shinichi never was assessed as a high threat to them, and after Shinichi was ruled dead, the Org's caring dropped to near zero. If the Org. somehow had the ability to monitor airport flying lists which would be very difficult to do comprehensively with the security, they wouldn't be looking for dead people.Dus wrote: Gin also said that he never remembers his victims' names.
