I don't know if it is Agasa... I mean that daughter thing speaks against him. But it would be fun to see.
This case is not bad for a DB case at all! Probably because it is a not simple murder case.

moreover there are rumors the old man has got money...
and I think the reason why the daughter doesn't pick up the phone is because it's Haibara,and since she's captured by the bad guys,she can't answer the phone...
Agasa was kidnapped once in one of the OVA,so it's not impossible to see him as a victim also in this file...
well at least it would be interesting ;D

Yup... Sounds like these two didn't do enough research before their kidnapping... They're not entirely sure whether he's rich or not, but they've heard rumors... They've heard a middle-school-aged school girl answer the phone on occasion, and assume it's his only daughter... (Gonna have to say it's Haibara because child voice + manner of speaking would probably come out to middle-schooler) Plus, the picture on Haibara's mobile phone's hold screen should come back into play. Notice how Haibara's backpack is handy as well (this is where I assume her mobile phone is stashed)
On another note, if Kogorou "messed with" Conan's phone, does that mean Kogorou knows Conan's lock code?
I seriously think Abs might be right about Agasa being the kidnapped person. I hope Okiya has noticed something amiss and comes to help if that is the case. After his actions on Ikkaku rock, the kids might think to text him if he didn't notice himself there was a problem in between FBI stalking bouts. I won't get my hopes up although this case is definitely turning out to be interesting. Hopefully this case becomes a plot enabler. Maybe we can rule out the lockers because Agasa couldn't fit in them

Couldn't also the rich guy be Kogoro and the middle school girl be Ran? I know Agasa makes more sense... in fact, it's even funny that the stupid kidnappers might have thought that Ai is from middle school from his voice, but why would people think he's rich? Maybe they mistook the house for Shinichi's house.

Actually, Agasa's house is pretty big for the "average person".
Couldn't also the rich guy be Kogoro and the middle school girl be Ran? I know Agasa makes more sense... in fact, it's even funny that the stupid kidnappers might have thought that Ai is from middle school from his voice, but why would people think he's rich? O.o Huh. I don't really think Agasa would say that, since he knows that Ai-chan's situation- why put her under the BO's radar by saying that she is actually a teenage girl? Also, Ai-chan can "tone down" her speaking mannerisms. She just speaks like a adult only around the DB, after all.
