Officially creeped out, especially since I just finished reading after the music got all creepy. I doubt its true though like you said.

It was a very happy town, where festivals and merriment abounded, and the common folk loved to gossip about such things as which of two maidens should become betrothed to a dashing young knight that lived there. Until one day, a squire arrived in the village.

The squire became a part of the village, and took part in its activities, including its gossip. Especially its gossip. So enamored with one of the maidens, he spent his days belittling the other, and those who would dare defend her. He sowed discontent wherever he went, until the villagers could take no more. With a heavy hand, the village elder ordered the squire to be executed. Even in his dying breaths, he cursed the people who brought his demise. Eventually, the village was at peace once more.

Days passed, and many people joined the village, as well as those who left. Among those who joined, there was a man who claimed that he was a prince. He seemed a nice enough fellow, and he got along with the townspeople. But as time went on, people began to take note of his peculiar behavior. He began taking part in the gossiping circles, berating the same maiden that the executed squire had. Some thought it a peculiar coincidence, until the elder took note that the prince was indeed possessed by the spirit of the deceased. Though some refused to believe it, it became apparent that it was the case, despite the prince's denials. Some of the villagers attempted to suppress the spirit, but it was too late as the spirit grasped the prince's heart with its icy talons, sending him into a frenzy and begging for death. With the same heavy hand, the village elder complied with the request and put the possessed soul to rest.

To this day, it seems that the spirit has not yet returned, yet only time will truly tell...

Not creeped out. I watched it for a bit, then I read the text and now I am listening to it. But I am in no way scared. Perhaps the later half is scarier, but I doubt it.

Edit: Finished it and I am not creeped out. I normally am by listening to Lavendertown music but not now. I guess that it is because I so strongly doesn't believe in it.
