Yes, I am. But I have very little experience with high notes like that...

Yeah, it's so much fun!   That's what I love about barbershop quartets: the harmony in their voices!  My first vocal audition is on Thursday, so I hope that I can get better from the terrible allergies that I'm having right now...

Allergy?! (do the symptoms includes runny nose?) The last thing you want when singing = sore throat, runny nose or phlegm in the throat. 
Hope you can get better before that. Good luck for the audition! Well singing high notes may be taxing for your throat, but among all the notes, singing higher notes makes it easier to convey your feelings and relieve stress (to some extent). I don't know about others but it does for me.

Hope you can get better before that. Good luck for the audition! Well singing high notes may be taxing for your throat, but among all the notes, singing higher notes makes it easier to convey your feelings and relieve stress (to some extent). I don't know about others but it does for me.

That's why I try to abstain from food that'll give problems to my throat. In that case, try some things that can help your throat? Got no suggestions here though. They do sell those lozenges good for the throat right? lol I don't know how effective they are. 
Since you're singing in the church then pray that your throat will get better at the same time

Well, in case you haven't noticed, the lame word was intended to myself. hahaha
Not exactly, I just enjoyed singing since young. And the habit hasn't exactly been affected over the years. So if I spend a week without singing, I'll get very uneasy. Too used to having regular outbursts in my room hahaha
