I can't believe, after Dragon Ball Kai been so much censored and weirdly cropped for a fake widescreen, now it's Conan time to get ripped!

The original episode, we have Kishida's head flying right next to Genta, Mitsuhiko and Ayumi and Genta says "what was that sound just now?" and then we have the scene with roller coaster scene where everyone is astonished and we can clearly see Shinichi's face with a blood stain - all these scenes were stripped from the new HD version and all I say is: why?!
Dammit, what's the point to make a better version is it's actually worse than the original one? At least we still have it in 4x3 ratio, but even so, seems a cruel joke for fans...
Not that we didn't have censored sequences before (episodes 61 and 62 "Yuureisen Satsujin Jiken", in episode 60 we had a preview showing a decapitated head being hold by a warrior's armor, but in the actual episode, we had a close up in the armor's face so we couldn't see a thing back then) but this is such a stupid thing to do, c'mon - it just pisses me off ¬¬'

It might due to being censored.  But it's also due to the episodes being shorter.  Compared to when the series started, the episodes are 30 seconds to a minute shorter.  So it's understandable that something had to get cut.  What's left in the remastered version gets the message through that his head was cut off.

The first remastered episode is 13 seconds shorter than the original (and we missed the original intro sequence...sigh)

Edit: I just saw Aluecard scans, man, I can't believe that the US version is like that =\
I'm glad I'm having Japanese classes so I can read the original manga, I'd never accept such modifications for onomatopoeia, you lose almost half of the original contents =[

No one should really be too surprised by this, because that sequence--as it was in the manga--is very gruesome for any audience. If there had been a higher budget and some more imagination, they could have captured the terror the young (and very inexperienced, naive) Gosho had intended to convey. In fact, they could have even made it even more frightening.

That's really funny that they censored the episode but not the preview. It reminds me of the case with Heiji and Conan where one victim is pushed onto a fence, and in the anime, no blood is shown on the body, while in the manga, he had blood out of the holes that the fence made and his mouth. However, in more recent cases the show seems to be less censoring of the manga.

True, but black blood is better than nothing, at least its sorta more realistic.
