Oh yeah, i forgot that they only show first and second serves in the profile. If they know she's throwing the match, why are they still cheering for her?
i guess if Minerva lobs the ball up really high, then everyone's heads will follow the motion of the ball except Minerva's mother (who can't see) and the culprit (who only cares about blowing up his bomb). in that way it might be possible to pick them out. still, realistically, isn't it really hard to do that among thousands and thousands of people? :/ I hope Gosho has a smarter answer than I could think of.
Yeah, right now I can find any other explanation except that one. Bur even if all people except Mother Glass looked at the ball, there's NO enought time to search a person who didn't pay attention to the ball. The gravitation is very cruel. Still I think that your theory is right, even if it's unrealistic. Gosho is out of ideas and has made a lot of unrealistic situation in this case.
But I don't know how lobbing the ball would help Conan to find the culprit. I mean Minerva does it only at the end of the game, right?? I would be too late!
I have yet to see a perfect world in which everybody watching any game is completely focused on the action all the the time lol
How would he pick the bomber amongst the tens of people lost in their thoughts, looking at chicks (Kogoro) and so on
Haibara: They have a scent, a scent all of them carry...
Conan: No wonder, they're drunkards

But everyone with a hand-held video camera should be following the ball. It is not as bad of an assumption as it would seem at first. The problem would be if she waits to do it until the final serve.

Maybe "hang in" is Conan's way of asking for Minerva to lob the ball first chance she gets... as in have the ball "hang in" the air?
I know, I know. That's really stretching it.
I was thinking this too. Knowing Gosho's deep comprehension of English, it's totally possible.

Really stretching is right, but Chekhov has a point, maybe Gosho will stretch it

ooh. that's cool. So I guess 'hang in there' really is referring to lobbing the ball up high so it would 'hang' in the air... maybe Conan is asking her to do that for all her serves, to give him time to scan through the crowd section by section (hopefully Hades doesn't catch on though). actually he probably isn't looking for Hades, I think he figured that Hades would be someone sitting right across Juno, with a camera and a creepy expression (ha ha), so he only has to look out for a blind lady whom he has seen before, so that makes things a bit easier.

How do you all think Conan will manage prevent the bear bomb from exploding? If the past cases are an indication, Hades can and probably will remotely detonate the bomb. A timer wouldn't work since the length of the match is not known and Hades wishes to detonate it at the end of the match. There are two basic options, one is to try to sneak the bomb away from Juno and put it somewhere where it will detonate harmlessly. The other option is to try to disarm the bear bomb.
The rain may play into this somehow and perhaps also any breaks where people move about - if there are any.
Conan may be able to crawl to Juno's seat without getting seen by the culprit especially if he picks a distracting moment to move from the stands to the seats. Conan will have to assume/figure out the culprit is somewhere on the opposite side or far away so he can escape the explosion. Conan could get Juno to set the bag down at her feet, cut the bomb from the bear, sneak away with the bomb, and have Juno pick the bear up again so Hades still thinks the bomb is with her. The drawbacks are that Conan needs sneak by the seats and alert Juno and Ares without them or any of the other spectators noticeably looking down and giving away Conan's presence.
Another question is how will Conan determine who the culprit is. The most likely option is to watch for people looking at Juno instead of the match.
"Hang in there" might mean to prolong the set as much as possible, strategically winning and losing points and games to buy Conan time. Quoting from Wikiepdia: "A game consists of a sequence of points played with the same player serving, and is won by the first player (or players) to have won at least four points by two points or more over their opponent." Basically a game will continue until someone gets two points consecutively. A game can be prolonged by alternately winning a losing points.
Sets and games are similar to games and points. Typically there are six games in a set, and "an advantage set is played until a player or team wins six games and that player or team has a two game lead over their opponent(s). The set continues, without tiebreaker, until a player or team wins the set by two games. Advantage sets are still used in the final sets in Men's & Women's draws in singles of Wimbledon."
Actually, there is a tiebreaker for this particular set (at the end of file 750, they're on the second set). For women's tennis, advantage sets are only played for the third set.
I hope, I´m not the only one who thinks that this is quite boring.... It´s great they went to London and all thought...
I don´t know, but I expected something else from this case.
meh, I kind of agree. I liked the solving of the puzzle with quotes from Sherlock Holmes thrown in and all, but I also think this case kind of pales in comparison to the arcs in the past, e.g. the Vermouth arc. just hoping that more exciting developments will happen.

Just wait until you see when they reveal that ______ _____ _________ and that _______ is really ________ and takes ______ ______ but not before _____ ______ _______ and _____ ______ ________ !!!!!!
I dunno, I still have avoided spoilers (how I've done that has gone into plot hole territory at this point) but it's like Detective Haibara. CONAN IN LONDON WINS BY DEFAULT SO WHO CARES?
