I'm glad that they cleared up what I had previously dismissed as a disappointing Continuity Fail- the scene in the Weeping Angels episode where The Doctor's talking to Amy and you can see him wearing his coat, even though it was just stolen by the Angels. I'd never really understood what he was talking about there, but it's cleared up now, and I have a better idea of what caused Amy's various oddities. Yay! I'm not going to expound on them though since they're very difficult to articulate.

I'm not too sure how, after the Pandorica (who else now thinks of Magic Kaito every time the word "Pandora" comes up?) River Song ended up on earth and even still had the book, unless, as the Doctor once mentioned, being a time traveller makes you a bit exempt from that kind of thing. Amy and Rory managed to remember, after all (just). Although does Rory remember the two thousand years that he waited? Because that was Plastic Rory, and I thought Amy brought back Real Rory... though admittedly Plastic Rory was made from Amy's memories, and Real Rory was brought back through Amy's memories, so maybe Plastic Rory's memories ended up in Real Rory's head...

I'm sure it'll all be explained next season, which will apparently be the most epic honeymoon ever. ;)

PS- HOW DARE THEY DESTROY THE FEZ?! Fezzes are cool! 8)
Spoiler:
I'd guess that because Amy has real parents now that Rory's also an actual human. Also because having a hidden ray gun at your disposal would make many dangerous situations trivial. :P

Anyway, that was a good episode. I'm glad that the deus ex machina (remember me please and it'll stop me from being wiped from history) this season is much more tolerable than davies one's (if you believe in me and chant my name I'll revert my age and go super saiyan and deflect bullets or some bullshit), and it played much less a part in the actual solving of the plot than davies's.

And was it just me or did the museum at the brink of the collapsing universe seem like the end-area of a jrpg? I was specifically thinking of FF9 during the episode. :P

Also, it's the end of the season and he hasn't kicked off his companion yet, so maybe she'll stick around through the specials and be around the next season as well?

*hugs lonely thread*

It was a good episode, although I don't like River Song as much as the writers want me to.

So I guess Rory waited even longer than Jack...I think he only had like 1800 years, although they were years of constantly suffocating. :P

Since the guy in the Churchill/Dalek episode managed to make himself real by thinking hard enough about the person he loved, I'm going to assume that's what happened to Rory too...I guess it doesn't matter too much, since it was all in Amy's head anyway in the end, like it usually is with Moffat. :)

@Akonyl: I forgot about Tinkerbell Jesus Doctor until right this second. Good times.

I'm looking forward to the new series, which looks to be made up of the most epic honeymoon ever. I'm also curious about the fact that this is the last series Matt Smith has signed on for. Which means that next season, he gets shot in the face and somebody new turns up! XD

True. But you know they will. This cash cow is FAR from dry. Besides, it's already been made clear that Moffat is all well and good with rewriting reality. Literally. It'll probably turn out that being remade like that gives the Doctor twelve new lives or something.

Or maybe they'll just handwave it entirely, like they've done with a bunch of stuff from the Old Who. Like Susan, the Doctor's granddaughter, who no longer appears to exist.

Matt Smith will die, and the series will switch over to having a David Tennant cameo with Doctor Two (you know, the one who's stranded in an alternate reality so that Rose can be with him), who will promptly need to be regenerated, thus bringing about a new doctor that's technically the same number as Matt Smith. Ta da! :V

But on a more serious note, apparently Moffat has decided that instead of the normal 13 episode run, he's going to instead split the season in two. This way, the gaps with no Who are shortened, and he can have two mini-serieses each with their own finale, instead of just having one series with one finale. We'll see how it turns out, I guess.

And Tinkerbell Jesus Doctor? I like it. The name, at least. Not the actual thing.

Seconded. Although bizarrely, the thing that made me laugh most was that this apparently omnipotent, glowing, all-powerful creature... was prominently wearing Converses. I'm not sure why the Converses stood out to me. It just seemed random and awesome. (I'm babbling. Is it really past midnight already?)

That actually doesn't sound like a bad idea to me. (The split season, I mean, not the return of Hand-Doctor.) I hope it works out well the first time they try it.

I'm pretty sure that came off TWOP, although I'm not entirely sure. The phrase sort of seems like it's always existed.
