Haibara made a prototype antidote for APTX 4869, and hid it inside a drawer, with an evil intention to test it on Kudo Shinichi secretly, when he comes next time to stay at Professor Agasa's house. Since she put it inside a container for cold medicine, Profesor Agasa mistook it for a cold medicine and give it to Conan. Then guess what... Conan takes it and becomes Shinichi again!
Now that we know this, nobody can deny that Haibara is really evil!!
i wouldn't call her evil...but she is definitely unethical! talk about human medical experimentation! where are the bioethics people when you need them???
but considering that she developed drugs to kill people in the first place...
she worked/lived with the b.o. since she was like, what, 5? i'm don't think ethics was part of the education they gave her. so haibara is not evil. she is merely a prodigy cultivated by the black org. who just happen to be evil. hmmm.... haha.
besides, if it worked (fat chance) shinichi would have been all for it. he's all about finding a cure.
If not evil she is rather mean, especially to Shinichi (she is nice to animals though! =) ). Remember the end in the Desperate Revival arc she sort of led Conan to believe that this antidote might work, but she really knew all along exactly how long the antidote would last -- at the end she says something like 24 minutes longer then I expected, within the expected range, which means she knew how long he had and didn't bother telling him -- haha =) MEAN!

I loled when I read that statement
I understaned living with the Black Org, but working for them at 5 years old?
Well, I guess that it's okay for Haibara to be mean on her only test subject, since he is willing to take it. Even if he knew it was a prototype antidote, I bet he would have taken it in an instant.

I think Haibara had more in her mind than that. I'm guessing that she planned to put Conan in a cage and watch what happens to him when he takes the antidote. After all she is that kind of mad scientist.

This entire post makes no sense. You have the intuition of a journalist on his first day at-the-job. As a Haibara fan, I'm insulted.

to be fair to haibara as a scientist (though she really is not by my standards), she wouldn't tell conan about the secret testing because of the placebo effect -- she wants to see how long the cure lasts, if she tells him this is her new prototype it might affect how long the cure lasts (especially since he has the idea already that her cures have been so far only temporary)
though I do think she has some ulterior motive so she might be evil -- I don't buy her original story that she never memorized her work on aptx, that sounds like total bs -- if you spent years developing a drug you damn well would be able to remember it and how to recreate it
