Re: Mystery Woman in File 745: Shiho Miyano?
I see some suggestions that Haibara would be too afraid to go to London or to investigate Subaru's case in Beika...She didn't cower when confronting Vermouth...but she willingly stepped up to her. Haibara is not a coward. If London means a lot to her regarding her family/ the Syndicate, then she won't be 'too afraid' to investigate.
I'm becoming more confident that mystery woman could be Shiho Miyano, assuming that Haibara is based on Irene Adler (for speculations I made in an earlier thread). She passes the card with 'Scandal in Bohemia' and Conan instantly mentions Irene. I'm almost certain this is Aoyama's hint to us that Mystery woman represents Sherlock's Irene. But I could be wrong, maybe that woman is Hestia. Or maybe Aoyama based Yukiko or Vermouth on Adler, but it would be odd in my opinion because neither are similar to Irene in personality or appearance. However Haibara is Irene's twin.
Putting that aside, I really like that arc. It's very refreshing.

Vermouth is another possible contender for DC's Irene Adler, so this might also hint at her.HayleyStark wrote: I see some suggestions that Haibara would be too afraid to go to London or to investigate Subaru's case in Beika...She didn't cower when confronting Vermouth...but she willingly stepped up to her. Yes, and if it is indeed her, another BO related story! I miss it...Dus wrote:Vermouth is another possible contender for DC's Irene Adler, so this might also hint at her.HayleyStark wrote: I see some suggestions that Haibara would be too afraid to go to London or to investigate Subaru's case in Beika...She didn't cower when confronting Vermouth...but she willingly stepped up to her. I added 3 more options for everybody's satisfaction
I still say Shiho, mark my word.

These three options have nothing to do with the poll's question. (the thread's question yes, but......the poll is crying out of not making sense nowHayleyStark wrote: I added 3 more options for everybody's satisfaction![]()
Haibara in London makes as much sense as Haibara in Paris or Haibara in JerusalemHayleyStark wrote: I still say Shiho, mark my word.

If it doesn't make sense to you then you don't have to voteKor wrote:These three options have nothing to do with the poll's question. (the thread's question yes, but......the poll is crying out of not making sense nowHayleyStark wrote: I added 3 more options for everybody's satisfaction![]()

And I didn't say Haibara in Paris or Haibara in Jerusalem. This is about London as Haibara's origin. Why this is so frustrating is just beyond me. It's okay really, it depends on your imagination.

Re: Mystery Woman in File 745: Shiho Miyano?
Haibara in London makes most sense out of these three, because she's half-British (BTW: Does it say British or English?) but is neither Jewish nor French for all we know.Kor wrote:These three options have nothing to do with the poll's question. Re: Mystery Woman in File 745: Shiho Miyano?
I know that. But I still don't find any logic that she would risk her life and try to leave the country. She's the one with the careful role, while Conan isn't.Dus wrote:Haibara in London makes most sense out of these three, because she's half-British (BTW: Does it say British or English?) but is neither Jewish nor French for all we know.Kor wrote:These three options have nothing to do with the poll's question. Re: Mystery Woman in File 745: Shiho Miyano?
She risked her life confronting Vermouth. If London holds info about her family or the syndicate then she wouldn't cower. What if she discovers research of the drug or a connection to the Boss in her family's belongings/ house? Or maybe she longs for a sense of identity that she can only find in her home town? She's a human being after all.Kor wrote: I know that. But I still don't find any logic that she would risk her life and try to leave the country. And I changed the poll question to match the title, hope that makes more sense.

Re: Mystery Woman in File 745: Shiho Miyano?
I forgot to add that the most prominent features of Shiho is her hair and eyes...which mystery woman spectacularly covers with a dark wig and glasses/ hat. Yukiko's disguises are usually much more outlandish. Same with Vermouth...they can disguise as men, so why just a wig and hat?
