If (by the slimmest possibility) it really turns out to be a dream then Gosho risks disappointing virtually all of his fans. I don't think he'll do that.

Noooooooooo,  the whole DC story is a dream, did you forget that?

Yeah, everything didn't happen in fact. He was knocked out that day from Gin and has been feed with the drug which neither killed nor shrank him. He only got unconscious from the stroke. He was found by Ran (or someone else) and been brought to hospital, where he awakes some days later. But he could see the future due to a side effect of the drug. So everything he dreamed will happen sometime. Therefore he goes out to bring down the organization in real and save Akemi and Shiho (and the lives from all the other murder victims).
