No... we don't... We know they have interests in America... as well as one American agent... That does not make it international... We assume it is international because of Chris Vineyard, but to assume that they are completely international on that small bit of information would be a mistake. If you commit a federal crime in the USA the FBI would be involved... If Gosho brought in the ICPO (Interpol) THEN I'd say that would be enough evidence to suggest international activity on the scale most would suggest... As far as we know they only have interests in America and Japan, and that ONE of Shiho's parents (mother iirc) is from England...

People make too many grand assumptions in DC with small clues... The FBI is certainly not an international organization, which is why they are in Japan secretly (and I call into question Gosho's choice to show so many of them... in the situation they are in... without authorization... they could NOT perform some of the things they have done.). The FBI is an American federal Bureau, which means it is a smaller operation... Their international offices are more of base camps in US embassies so that they can conduct investigations pertinent to US interests in other countries, host countries permitting... Their jurisdiction is US, and can't do much in other countries without the host country's law enforcement or blessing. FACT: IN THE REAL WORLD, Jodie would have been arrested for wrongful possession of a firearm by the Japanese government in that one case where Megure caught her with a firearm (that is if I am recalling the case correctly).


And again... read back to my three points... We don't know what resources the BO have, or what they are capable of, or if they have watch on anyone that they have already killed and deem dead...

And if they had any real intelligence they would have already surmised that Shinichi is either A) alive, B) under government protection (and therefore somewhere where they might not be able to find him unless he shows himself) or C) Out of the country... How hard would it be to check PUBLIC RECORDS for a DEATH CERTIFICATE! Shinichi is not dead, ergo there is not death certificate... Not that hard... Oh right, there is also no MISSING PERSON'S REPORT! Don't you think they would realize that loved ones would file one if he were gone and out of contact?

Personally... unless Vermouth is doing some serious manipulation of information within the BO... The BO is pretty damned stupid to have not figured out that Shinichi is alive and plotting their destruction... And if they had the influence that they are claimed to have then they would have access to wiretaps, and would be able to TRACE SHINICHI'S CELLPHONE! Hell... a regular person can do that if they have the know-how... They would have also been alerted to the fact that Shinichi's father's credit card was used in Japan, with him not being there, and it not being reported stolen. (must mean that the kid is still alive)

Well specifically... She more or less revealed herself as an active agent in Japan, and told MPD that she was going to be there... If you are active it is assumed you have a firearm... So she should have been sought out and detained after that...
