Kaitou-Shinichi long lost twins???

Question, though. Why do character profiles and such in Japanese media always include blood type? I've never gotten that. I don't even know my own blood type (because I've never needed to), so the popularity of knowing someone else's blood type escapes me.

In Japan, there's a belief that blood type effects personality. For example, O types tend to be outgoing.  It's similar to how here in the west we believe that what astrological sign you are born under can affect personality. (Virgo, leo, etc...)

As a side note, I don't know my blood type either ;_; .

I think they are brothers. 

They most possibly have the same dad but a different mom... but that doen't make sense, as Kaito's dad died already... O.O

NO WAIT!!! MAYBE KAITO AND SHINICHI'S REAL PARENTS LEFT THEM!!!! Then, as Yukiko and Toichi are friends, they agreed to adopt a child each!!! That they never really had a baby!!! OMG THIS MAKES SO MUCH SENSE. *adds to fanfic*

The same thing happened to Ran and Aoko. Kogoro and Nagamori both wanted two children, but they didn't want the other person to take both children, so they took one each!! (Solomon and the baby! XD) THIS MAKES SENSE TOO.

Another thing: Shinichi and Aoko/Kaito and Ran were supposed to be siblings. But their parents left them (again) and they did a crossover adoption. XP Makes sense too!!!!!

They actually believe something so... stupid? I mean, that's obviously utter bullshit when you consider that a child can only have certain blood types depending on their parentage. That would be automatically invalidated when two siblings who couldn't be farther from each other in personality have exactly the same blood type. I swear... some Japanese superstitions and philosophies are just ridiculous.

Alright...I'm pretty sure you meant "the current kid and Shinichi", because that would make perfect sense. I agree with you completely. Right now, the only problem is that Kaito Kid's mother has NEVER been shown. Therefore, there is the possibility that Vivian cheated with Kaito Kid's father when she was learning the arts of disguise with him. However, that's VERY far fetched, because Booker would have noticed that his wife's pregrant...(since Vivian comes back to her husband after her sessions). Also, it's obvious that there's a resemblance in the facial appearances of the four main teen geniuses (Shinichi, Kuroba, Hattori, and that blond detective in MK). In reality, the similarity between Shinichi and Kuroba is just to add dramatic effect. (also with the relation between Ran, and Aoko).
