Some day, in the distant future, people will tell stories of the times when Abs. had no avatar.

And we will tell these stories to our grandchildren, and they will say "come on grandpop, I know you exaggerate stories about your youth but that's going just a little far, don't you think?"

And we will look at their eager, youthful eyes. We will see the hope and joy reflected in them that they see in the world. But if we let them know just how beautiful the world used to be, we know how hollow these eyes would become, seeing just how much of a shade this world has become of its once great self.

So, we will swallow our pride and nod solemnly. "Yes, child, it's only a story. Something like that could never have been. Something that great..."

We will learn to live with what we have been given. But we will remember just how splendid the past was.
