Because your laptop likely doesn't have a separate keypad
on laptops, you generally have a "fn" key in the lower-left, which if you hold down, lets you use other specified keys as a numpad. So, you'd have to hold alt+fn and then hit those numbers on the numpad-like keys.

iirc, you have to have a certain keyboard setting enabled to do that. Heck, ´ isn't even actually a key on my keyboard, just ` and '.
