Is "Detective Conan" coming to an end, since Conan is
catching up with the "Black Organization" and working with
the FBI? And even if it isn't, how do you think this great anime
series will end? (Imagine in your head the last episode)
In my opinion, if Conan becomes Shinichi, then he would lose
the thing that helps him solves these mysteries most of the time: being a kid. And
he will be acquainted with the "Detective Boys", but he would have
to tell them that he's leaving or moving because it's still too
early for them to know the truth.

gosh said in an interview, that there will be soon the end of detecitve conan. but for the manga it can been more than some month to bring it to an end.
Sorry, only in German (in Eniglish it wouldn´t be a rhyme):
Buu Huu ist weiß, wie jeder weiß.
Aber es gibt ihn auch in rot, dann klaut er jedem das Brot.^^
Ich mag Buu Huu einfach sehr. Ohne ihn wär Mario Party total leer.
I mentioned this on the irc channel once before, but here's my idea of how the series will end:
This would really piss me off, although I can imagine it happening. The title of the show would be "Shinichi's Return! Ran and the Final Case" or something like that. Shinichi would finally get his adult body back, and go after the Black Org. They get arrested, and Shinichi tells Ran the truth about him being Conan and confesses his true feelings for her, only to have Ran get killed at the end. Then Shinichi would solve her death and quit being a detective.
And yes, I know that would be the suckiest ending ever, but it's the only way I can think that all the ends could be wrapped up.
ah the question I've been contemplating over for a while now...
I'm convinced that since he's been playing the poor nut throughout the series... Kogoro will play an important role at the end of the series for whatever reason - maybe even bringing down the BO.
To tell the truth, I would like Shinichi to return to his original body but I believe that he might contemplate on the decision at least a little. Conan has a lot going for him, as well. His feelings for Ran may outweigh any other options, though.
Clearly, Heiji will play a major role. And I think Kaitou Kid will also have a hand in this (for all we know, BO may be the same people he's after, as well)
I think they will take down a large majority of the BO and Shinichi will return to normal, while Haibara remains in her child form. But I don't think that the entire BO will come down, even at the very end. But I can't see Shinichi confessing his feelings for Ran, even at the end. Maybe Gosho will just leave it at where everything returns to 'somewhat' normal and possibly Shinichi telling Ran about Conan.
But I'm just curious to find out who "anokata" is and exactly what kind of person he/she might be to be able to control Gin...

That would be a very bad way to end such a great series.i dont think its going to happen that way.
I think ran might know that conan is shinichi and vice versa in the last episode, but he would'nt find the drug which would help him get back to his normal form... Black organistaion will be destroyed, gin's gonna die,and vermouth would be the one who'll kill him
gin's gonna die,and vermouth would be the one who'll kill him
I like the idea of it! Wouldn't we all...
Yep, I think Gin is going to die (maybe at Vermouth's hands) but somehow I think of all the BO members, Vermouth will get away in the end... I just don't think she's the kind to let herself be caught, no matter what.
Meh, she could change.
A highly unlikely thing, though.
Though I do wonder how Shinichi will get his hands on the aptx again..

im wondering why you all didnt mention the possibility that akai will kill gin. he's gins rivale known since the ending of 425.
i think akai and conan will bring down the BO, dont forget: both are the silver bullets which can destroy the org.
lets hope akai didnt really die

No.. I don't think that's too sucky at all.. One thing about the story ending.. is SOMEONE MUST DIE. I doubt it's Shinichi. If it's Heiji i'll cry and cry and won't leave my room for days. If it's Ran... eh.. in my eyes.. Shinichi's got a better/smarter romantic prospect in Shiho.
Here's a couple scenarios I jumble around in my head:
1. I think we could all agree.. while we don't know who "anokata" is yet.. we can almost bet on the fact that he has been shown to us at some point as a characther.. some people suspect Dr. Agasa But, if the BO follows the trend of most large organizations.. there will be some boring old white man that we haven't even met yet
2. Kogoro was a detective for a very long time.. and then he retired and still does detective work. Could you imagine if this entire SERIES.. He has known Conan is Kudo? And ever since then.. he's been acting like a bumbling fool to hide his actual intelligence in order to keep Conan thinking that Goro would never figure it out. This is something that is possible even without tying into the whole end-plot.
2a. Same theory as 2, but apply it to Megure. Keep in mind, this is alot more plausible than Mouri being the great detective, as Megure knew Shinichi when he was a boy.
If Aoyama kills off someone, it should be for dramatic reasons, not to free up Conan for Haibara fanservice, which wouldn't even be very plausible except in an epilogue set in the distant future, since it's obvious losing Ran would be very devastating for Shin'ichi. Heck, Ran is the only girl he's been shown to have any sexual chemistry with, and the way that has been shown implies it is exclusive to her (examples in episode 246/vol31.5 and ep.411/vol48.1).
I do think Ran will die before the end, though, for various reasons. The noir influence in the overarching plot; some name puns; Vermouth's dubious interest in her; some scenes and dialogue I see as foreshadowing; and the fact Shin'ichi still hasn't realized how much his exile form his peers was his doing and started before Gin poisoned him. If Shin'ichi is going to be humbled at all by his experience, Ran's death is about the only thing left that would do it.

Yeah there is a possibilty of akai killing gin ...
gee so many people want Ran to die... I actually like her character.
Somehow I can't see Gosho killing her off. Seriously. I just don't see it happening.
And while Shinichi and Shiho have an obviously close relationship, I can't see a romantic spark in there. Besides, Gosho seems like he wants to establish the fact that "Shinichi and Ran forever" - that is, Shinichi and ONLY Ran. His romantic interests don't lie in Haibara.
And Akai killing Gin is a possibility, if he is still alive. I know if I were in Akai's place the first thing on my list of things to do would be to shoot Gin a thousand times over XD. And yes, I think if Akai is still alive, he will aid greatly in the fall of the BO. But I'm thinking it will be a more combined effort of everyone, tied in together in some discreet way, even. Sort of like 345, how Heiji, and even Yukiko was involved.
And somehow I like the whole 'Kogoro playing dumb' idea... I had never thought of that before! Hmm That could go about rather well, actually.
Regarding Vermouth's interest in Ran & Shinichi... so far I'd pretty much say she's feeling like she's in debt because they saved her life. Not to mention that she probably hadn't encountered someone so impossibly naive and pure before. Ran's complete innocent attitude merely stirred a more buried feeling inside her, in all likeliness. And that could also be the reason why Vermouth refuses to reveal Shinichi's identity to the BO... because she feels like she owes him her life. But I also suspect that deep inside, she wants out of all this BO business, really. A possible sign of guilt? Because, obviously, she believes that Shinichi can bring the BO down. Just a thought. Nevertheless, her enigmatic character makes her a lot harder to read, in spite of the hints. But all humans feel certain emotions such as guilt, etc. I don't believe she's an exception.
Who knows, maybe even Gin? (okay, yeah, nevermind.)
