No, I'm not surprised by that anymore and there are many videos by nutty Christians on youtube, but there are also atheists out there who are trying to give Christians a bad name. Basically, the "debate" is a lot more heated in the States, Europe is rather secular. Ironically, freedom of religion is a fundamental right in the US and several European countries still have a state religion. So Europe has laws that would match US society and vice versa.

Hmmm, I don't know how the situation in Ireland is right now, but I remember there being some small-scale war with a lot of deaths. The ironical thing is, they have the SAME FREAKING RELIGION, but both groups just focus more on other aspects of it. I never managed to understand that, but heh.

But yeah, Europe is becoming more and more atheistic nowadays. I'm not really sure why, I guess the 'easy' life takes away the need for any supernatural interference. In my case, I simply don't want to worship anyone, certainly not some supposedly male god who I barely know, and who clearly has it in for the male population. Pure racism, I'm telling you!

But I guess we also got too used to making jokes about our own religion, and are pretty appalled by their sensitivity. But some of them are really crazy, saying this will be a future Islamic state, and wanting to enforce some rules of their own and yadda yadda. So yeah, that makes our aversion of religions only bigger.

May I ask where you are from?
I don't buy all that evil-muslims-want-to-introduce-the-sharia crap. There are definitely some crazy ones out there but we shouldn't infer from that that all muslims are crazy. Think about it for a moment:
You read about someone who wants to make insert your homecountry here a theocracy, where all the laws are based on the Bible. You'll think "He's mental."
If you read about someone who wants to introduce the sharia in insert your homecountry here, you'll think "Those muslims are mental."

The way I see it, most muslims (in Germany) are fairly secular, they think of themselves as muslims mainly because the want to belong somewhere. The crazy ones are giving the rest a bad name. Most muslims I've met in person are actually very nice people and I feel increasingly uneasy about this witch hunt against the Muslim world. They're on the verge of becoming the Jews of the 21st century.

from some people I've met in my life, I can say it's a fact that there ARE truly ignorant and idiotic people. Saying that girl is trolling is running away from the painful truth.

I've watched a few of their videos and am fairly positive they're just trolls.
