Someone's Signature
Hi, I'm a new member, anyway, somebody here had a quote from Arsene Lupin that I really liked. It was something like tricking the general public into believing in flamboyant thievery so strongly that nothing can be made impossible or something to that effect.

Re: Someone's Signature
I'm guessing the signature you're talking about was mine? I hope so cause it's a good one! I would quote it like a nerd to people along with many other Lupin quotes
.
"You must understand that in order to escape I must create in advance, a public belief in that escape, a belief amounting to an article of faith, an absolute conviction, a reality as glittering as the sun."
It's from an exchange between Ganimard and Lupin. Poor Ganimard was quite upset. I hope you will read "The Extraordinary Adventures of Arsene Lupin, Gentleman Burglar." ^^.

Hey, I have an idea, let's have a THIS SUCKS / NO THIS SUCKS / NO YOU / NO YOU argument for a couple pages, that will really be great. - Ingmar

Re: Someone's Signature
I LOVED Arsene Lupin. And Ganimard.
Until I read "The Hollow Needle". The absolute murder of Sherlock Holmes's character just utterly destroyed me. I could never bring myself to pick up anything written by Msr. LeBlanc.

Re: Someone's Signature
My paranoid schizophrenia has always found it interesting that the author of the greatest thief was named LeBlanc and the creator of detective fiction wrote his most famous work as tribute to Lenore (LeNoir).
