I did forget about Black James. It doesn't look like he's gonna appear in this arc either. He was even born in London.

Well he is a minor character so...maybe we will have a James Black Childhood Love Story?

I wouldn't put it past Gosho to do this at all

I want to see more character development with Ai. Particularly in regards to whatever was on her mom's tape. We never did find out how THAT sentence ended, did we?

Maybe he is Atsushi Miyano, that mysterious woman is Elena and we'll soon have a family reunion?

Gosho has loads of loose ends to tie up, especially with Ai. He should finally start tying them up.

The recent action has all been in Japan and many hints about the BO have indicated a Japanese home base. Any arc with the BO in London would only be a sideshow, not a location for the final confrontation.

I wouldn't be so sure about that. We just don't hear anything anout BO activity abroad. Just because the FBI is operating in Japan doesn't mean that there isn't an even large team battling the BO in the States.

I'd suspect that the involvment of the FBI indicates quite a level of Syndicate activity in the USA, but that they've traced the top of the hierarchy to Japan.

The boss hints point to Japan being the major source of the action. The infamous Nanatsu no ko number might have a Tottori area code; however, the number, including the area code, was altered to prevent prank calls. It is likely the boss is probably Japanese, grew up in Japan, or had Japanese parents, relatives, or spouse as this children's song is not well known elsewhere. In the star case in 45-9, Haibara reacts to the word Kurayoshi, a city in Tottori province. (466)

While we refer to him as the boss, we cannot know for sure he's not just a major who might have higher-ups elsewhere. If I turn out to be right and Elena is anokata, then the BO is probably quite active in the UK as well.

I don't think the boss is Elena. Elena carefully left those tapes to Akemi so they can be delivered to Shiho which I am guessing Elena prepared secretly without the Org knowing. The contents of those tapes are definitely expressions of Elena's motherly love for Shiho. Additionally, Elena acquired a nickname which is translated as "the angel that fell into hell." (abs corrected a mistranslation if I remember correctly) Would someone like that order her daughters to be killed? It doesn't mesh with what we know about her personality.

According to the German manga, her nickname was Hell Angel. In any case, this name reminds me of Lucifer, who used to be God's favourite angel. Her personality might have changed at some point.
I'm not too sure Gin murdered Akemi and Sherry because he was ordered to.
