I've gone through all of the possibilities and that's the result:

Yes, we get to know more about her dark family history. -Possible
Yes, she's here to visit her home town to catch up with friends and memories. -Yeah, most likely. She's that type of meeting old friends and refreshing old memories.  ;D
Yes, Shinichi will meet her in adult form for the first time and Ran will think she's his girlfriend and maybe he will finally fall in love with Haibara! -Maybe he will meet her and maybe Ran will think she's his girlfriend but I don't think that he will fall in love with her. At least not now.  :)
If that woman is Shiho, then she's only here to give Conan the antidote to go back home. period. -That would be too simple.

the woman is Kudo Yukiko. it makes sense.

Agasa isn't one to just let things go. they were going out of the country for the first time as conan and he had no passport so he most likely called his parents.

not to mention he was going with ran and kogoro so he had to keep his secret and worry about them being safe. he also had to take an expiramental poison. so most likely agasa called them just as a precaution.

a knowing yukiko, they proberably got there a few days ahead of them. to make sure they got there and back ok because we all know, free spirited as she may be, yukiko is extremly over protective. she'd also get the chance to trick him so she'd enjoy it and yuusaku would proberably solve the case ahead of conan just to rub it in. XD


and i know noone in the entire series has upcurls like that. even in disguise, as proven by fumiyo edogawa, even in disguise yukiko has curls that curl up.

Because it's true. If there was and option for it, I'd vote no. I think there will be zero character development for Haibara in this case. There isn't a simple no so I'm not voting.

First off, I doubt the woman is Shiho. My vote is for the mother of Minerva and Apollo Glass because she is blind (sunglasses), older (lipstick), and is a serious Sherlock Fan (pays attention to what Ran screams at Shinichi.)

I don't think that Haibara will get any character development in this case anyway. She might show up for a panel of two, but that's it. This case is almost guaranteed to be Shinichi and Ran centric no matter what.

The antidote option is impossible.  Even if she were to predict that Shinichi would screw up and take the antidote early, she would have simply slipped an extra pill to Agasa, not go to London herself.  Or, if she got there only after learning that Shinichi took the antidote early and hadn't supplied Agasa with a spare, she must be able to surpass Kaitou Kid in teleportation skills

This isn't because I am an AiCo fan, but Gosho is totally wasting this whole London thing on ShinRan development, he could have done that back in Japan. This really should have been for Haibara.

I have to agree, Ai is the only person with a connection to the UK, it makes no f***ing sense to exclude her of all people.
Having ShinRan development in London will just make the arc seem even more rushed.

London would have been a nice stage for the final confrontation, I'm starting to question Gosho's sanity.
