They are, I think.... though our newspapers are bitching on this whole thing. XD
It's also covered in our country newspaper, the Chinese Government demands an explanation regarding the accident..

They also mentioned that the Polices forces admitted that they had a weak tactic/strategy during the hostage situations and messed up with the negotiations..

Our current President is an asshole.

...I saw something in TV regarding some Chinese ambassador and a prime minister but I don't think I should mention what I think...

Like everyone, I'm very sad about what happened. To all members of the Chinese and Hong Kong community, including those who are members in the site, I apologize in behalf of every Filipino for what happened.

I can understand the anger that everyone feels right now. But I hope that you won't generalize Filipinos because of what happened.

You can't deny that, even before this incident, the Philippines is an unsafe travel destination for non-Filipinos

Yes.

That is why I'm wondering why I see hundreds of Koreans and Americans crowding in here.

That's for Mindanao right? I see no reason not to put up such warning.

True, but note the parts where it says "throughout the Philippines"

*nods* I agree. What his parents did was great, and in my opinion, he's only ruining their name. The power was gone when I got home, so I really wasn't able to tune into this and print some supplies for geometry as well. I was only able to do both in 5-6 in the morning.

According to my classmates, the hostage taker's brother was being pushed into a police car (for questioning). At that time, Mendoza (the hostage taker) was already in the bus (Why that stupid driver let him in the bus even if he had a FREAKING ARMALITE (sp?) with him, I do not know). They said he was wiling to cooperate, until he saw the media. Then he started over-reacting. The whole thing was filmed by the media, and since there was a TV in the bus, he saw everything. Then he snapped, and said snapping led to the events.

There are a lot of things I can say to the PNP right now, but this sums it up:

Right now I'm ready to admit that the PNP were not doing it's job perfectly. But you can't put all the blame to them.

Agreed... During hostage situation with firearm and psychotic culprit, we can never know where the event would led. Even the smallest mistake could messed up badly..

But i also agreed that the police could do better.. According to my country newspaper, there were couple of mistakes made by the polices :

- They only started to surround the Bus after 10 hours has passed.
- They could have apprehend the culprit when he released 9 hostages previously thus ending the hostage situation.
- The negotiator could have pretending that they accepted the demands, but instead they rejected it.. Which lead to provoking the culprit and the gunfight began..

What are they gonna do in pretending that they accept the demands jail him after? What if use his guns and kill more people. Mendoza was asking that his crimes will be nullified. If this was accepted, many people will do the same then. The Ombudsman said they are going to review the case rather and expect it to be done on the next 10 days. Another one is the tear gas wtf seriously this is really a bad idea, i think that some dies because of suffocation and not by gun shot by the hostage taker.

On another channel i heard that the hostage taker is letting go all of his hostages but hwne he saw his brother being treated very poorly he started a warning shot and kill some hostages, some pretend to be dead to be spared.

Our SWAT are epic fails really. But whatever, this happened before(to some Kindergarten kids) with a former Policeman getting only jailed for 2 years and getting pardoned so i guess the Mendoza(the hostage taker thought that the same fate will happen to him)

Oh well, still remains of what our former president have done to us. Still IDK what is the current president doing back then.

Lesson is don't always use brute force especially against family members, IMO family members are double edged swords.

In behalf of Mendoza, im really sorry for the death of Chinese People.
