That's actually how it's described by Aoyama, in the beginning of File 743. "A super long series"Dus wrote:If this is the case, then we're certainly in for a very long arc.

Re: Files 743-??? Discussion Thread
I don't think religion and the BO have anything to do with one another. The plot has had nothing to do with religion, nor have there been many (any?) references to religions other than typical Japanese Buddhism and Shintoism. If religion has a part in this, it's probably only for this case.
I also don't think the Syndicate has anything to do with this case. It isn't their style to publicly announce themselves and reveal one of their operatives by handing out random sheets of code to children all over London. If anything non-romance plot related happens, it's going to be on the return trip to Japan when Shinichi somehow winds up in a pickle with his passport/antidote wearing off too early/he drops it.

Fair enough, I forgot about that. What I really meant to say is there isn't something like a Da Vinci code going on.Abs. wrote:Two words: Sharon Vineyard. Re: Files 743-??? Discussion Thread
I'm reading the Book of Revelation right now and came across something that actually gave me the chills:
Und der Name des Sterns heißt Wermut.
(And the name of the star is called Vermouth /wormwood)
Wermut is both the name of the plant and the spirit made from it (it's originally from Germany, vermouth is just the French spelling)
This passage is found when the seventh seal is about to be broken.
Could someone check whether the Japanese version allows for a similiar reading? Edit: 苦よもã
You probably have no idea what I'm talking about so let me elaborate: I'm reading the German version and there it says:King James Bible: Revelation 8,11 wrote:And the name of the star is called Wormwood

Nor are 99,9% of the Japanese population. Still, Christian mythology (yes, I just called the bible mythology) is fairly well-known around the globe, even if you're not Christian yourself.Khinkhun wrote:First off, Davinci Code is awesome,Chekhov MacGuffin wrote:Fair enough, I forgot about that. And most Christian won't be able to tell you what's happening in the Apocalypse, either.

Agreed, and I would dislike if the case is about Christianity, 'cuz most of the poeple doesn't get the real concept of things like thisKhinkhun wrote: First off, Davinci Code is awesome,

It's only been 2 chapters and we're already like 31 pages here..
I'm sure it would provides a good laugh when the arc completes with a lame ending...
