I think it's rather spot on.  I'm leaning towards your guess for the time being.  It certainly seems to make the most sense.

Love trouble, Yeah.. Definitely a ShinRan case...

And it's hardly surprise me that everyone in London seems to be speaking in Japanese now..

Leave it to Chekhov to come up with a theory that makes sense.
However, it doesn't take into account that the riddle is talking about a chilled boiled egg. Why would Gosho specify it if it's just referring to an egg-shaped building?
If the ravens are indeed wizards in the castle, then that would hint towards the BO. So either Bourbon is playing games with Conan or Vermouth wants him to prevent something from happening.

Spoiler:
maybe we get more clues from this file, unil then one thing has caught my attention, that is the "piercing a white back with two swords" part. There is a Tarot card named "Two of swords" and it has a blindfolded lady in white on it. To support this idea, an internet article says: "the suit of swords deals with logic and the use of the intellect" and so on. I thought this might be interesting.
A blind folded lady? That brought mother Glass to my mind immediately.

Bouncing random theory: Assuming you're all correct about the Big Ben being related to the case, what if it were not only a location but the actual target?

From what I know, Big Ben is rather well-known. If we consider the guy that handed out the riddles to be a terrorist, imagining him blowing up a famous building doesn't sound impossible. Especially since he insists on his 'hate' in two of the riddle's lines.

So Big Ben always wakes him up in the morning and that annoys him so much that he's gonna blow it up? Sounds like something that could definitely happen in RL.

Sounds like my sister. Sorry about that...

Anyhow I doubt that is the reason, and I also doubt that that is the crime. But that is just my personal opinion.

...I doubt the Big Ben waking him up is the motive, I'll give you that. If he were to blow it up, it would be for others reasons. Worst case he's got a grudge against the government and is trying to pull off a 9/11 in London, and the Big Ben is only one of the targets (still, assuming the guy's a terrorist).

Somehow, I felt that this case might turns out to be gibberish...

Unless there's smaller bomb exploded / someone got killed in the next chapter, I still won't consider this as a case..

This might be the same case like Toichi Kuroba secret code to Shinichi back in Vol 55, but in International scale :D

pfffffffff if this case have anything to do with the blowing up of national landmarks then i would not be pleased, since it's clearly impossible otherwise downing street would have disappeared in rl ages ago.

at least keep the realism of DC at some rational level :( - though this case did get off at an unrealistic start.

Everyone?  It's been the two people who had established in the previous chapter to have lived in Japan for some period of time.  It's not unheard of that they'd learn the language of the country they were in.

I'd avoid taking the riddle literaly. If it says cake, then it's probably not about a cake. But, as I mentioned previously, I think we don't have the info to solve it, right now, so I'd rather wait.
