Actually the face shape is alright, a bit thin but it could work.

The animators got pwnd by the character perspective. Gosho's eyes are never the same like that from an angle. That's why I love Gosho style : ). I found it interesting how the animators are trying to make sense of Gosho's ears that way...but it'll just make the characters more odd at this rate xD.

LOL but I can't excuse everything, just look at the hand xD.

Edit: Just moved the eye 1 mm downwards and get rid of 1 corner of the mouth.

Big difference? Not really, but still...

Actually the face shape is alright, a bit thin but it could work.

About the face distortions... maybe the animators were trying to show that he's already starting to revert to Conan? Well... I guess that's bad idea if the other characters didn't also notice the physical deformities.

(I don't think Ran would really meekly accept that Shin'ichi got better after seeing his skull deforming, but maybe that's my Ran bias showing again.)

I wish that's the case, that will be a good excuse xD. However the mistakes in the anatomy are pretty much constant in the episode for all the characters so I don't think so ^^.

it does make sense that maybe he is almost transforming back to conan
just hopefully he won't look like this for the rest of the season

Look how much better he looks compared to that one above. Not as good as he appeared in the 300-400's episodes, though (in my opinion). I guess they noticed that he did look so awkward haha

its sad to see how this compared to the other pictures it totally different of shinichi
the color is off

Actually I think if they hired fans (especially fangirls) to draw it, Shinichi will look prettier then you've ever seen him (to a scary degree). The anime will be full of *flips hair*"cool angle pose!" or something...xD.
